Remarks

The college was a really good time! It was amazing, the infrastructure and the facilities in terms of sports and other events were also very good. Despite the academic quality being average some students did really well which goes on to show that, all colleges had the same education but instead of complaining some students used the guidance of teachers and made full use of their college facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is outdated. Only in the 3rd Year, the Taxation course gets updated every year, nothing else changes. But since this year the University has changed the entire pattern and converted from a yearly to a semister pattern. And the exam is completely theoretical.

Placement Experience

3.5

We had job opportunities but it was common for Bcom, BBA, BSC BCA. There were too many students and too little jobs. No Internship was provided, as it was not part of the course structure. But if anyone wanted to work, he/she could on their own.

College Events

4

The events are the best in Pune and probably the best in Maharashtra. The Sinhagad Karandak Cultural Festival is a glamorous Event. And there are international artists who come to perform. The college makes sure that students have a good time

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. The cost of education is not that high. But like I said above the quality is also not that good. The blame of this is not upon the Teachers but those who set the pattern. Thankfully this year the University has changed their pattern.

Fees and Financial Aid

College had good schemes and other government initiated programs that helped the students who came from financial weaker backgrounds. Government schemes were there to help students but not many directly initiated schemes from the colleges side except a few.

Campus Life

5

The extracurricular activities were amazing. There were events for cultural, sports, drama, amd other stuff as well. Inter college competitions were also organised. In terms of extra curricular it was a really good time I spent in the college. The annual event, Karandak was a huge hit

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I had not opted for hostel. So therefore I have little idea about it. My friends were there in the hostel and their cost for a single room with 4 beds was 60k annually. The hostels were hygienic as well.

Alumni/Alumna

Did not have any information about this. Only knew that there was a huge Alumni network, but this was mostly try for tbe technical courses like Engineering and Medical which were really good. Also the facilities in these courses were very good.

Admission

No process. Submission of documents and filling out other details is enough to get admission.

Faculty

3

Faculty is great! But the University structure prevents them from improving, so they are stuck to the regular routine. The faculty has great knowledge and they are also well experienced in their fields.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placement Experience:

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.
