Remarks

Management is Not Great. Attitude is "Sarkaari Type" I will suggest Not To join HM, If still wish To "Go For STEP course of Oberois", or either Opt for Elite Colleges, Or Simply Drop out the Plan

Entrance Preview

JEE of NCHMCT, 2401 AIR! Gwalior is my Hometown, so opted For IHM Gwalior, Admission Process is Simple, 3 Rounds to Choose your Desire College, If failed to get in First Round then Go for Second, Nad if still Fails, Go for Spot Counseling which is basically Allotment of Remaining Seats, Allocations of colleges are done on the basis of AIR. So, Depending on the AIR, You can opt for College, and also before Counselling Rounds, We have to Choose the College Preferences and then First Counselling is Done, and then Same Routine goes.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Basically, We have 4 Core Departments in which We have to study also Other Departments and Subjects too! Curriculum is Decided by NCHMCT, so Cillege Rely on that!

Internships Opportunities

Completed my Internship(IT) from "The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra" Stiped they paid was 800/-, However depends on Hotel what they Pay! IT is the First Exposure to the Industry, Which may be Good Experience or Bad depends on Individual, Mine was Mix! I got an Opportunity to Learn with a International Prospective, And with a Leading Chain in India, A Reputated Brand in Hospitality Industry. Approximately Every Brand comes to Seek Trainees for IT, Interviews are Conducted and Are selected on that Basis.

Placement Experience

4.5

Almost Everyone get placed in Companies, Brand or Chains! But as an Matter of Fact the Salaries they pay is quite Low as compared to Work, Also Salary has Slow Increment, To be Honest If you Failes to get a MT (Management Trainee) Your Life is the Word Nightmare! You'll get Low Salary for High Physical and Mental Work, and No Paid Leaves only in Off Season, Only a Week Off.

College Events

4

Annual Function, Farewell, Theme Dinners, Alumni Meetings are the Functions we Celebrate and Organize. However, an Inter-IHM Fest is conducted, Which is Decided by NCHMCT to be done in which College.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Average Structure is 43000-45000 per Sem, It's an average of Fees, actual fees may Differ! Additionally 18k for Hostel. Fees is Decided by NCHMCT, but every Sem is approx 40000 or Above.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sorry, No Idea, I don't Need Loan so never enquired. Scholarship for OBC, SC ST students which is Issued by Government, Under a Certain Criteria

Campus Life

4

You'll Never Get time for Extra Activities. However Campus Life is Good. Studies are major Priority here, No Development on extra Skills actually. sports are Conducted and we have a Good Big Grounds, But not Everyone Uses it. Sports Day is also Conducted, No Politics are Conducted, Neither Direct Engagement in Politics!

Hostel Facilities

3

Food is Disgusting, Hostel lacks Basic Faciliies! I would rate 3.5 out of 5. No WiFi, No Gym, However Management is making Improvements.

Alumni/Alumna

Never Interacted with Alumni, But for Seniors! Everyone laywr or Soonee Realises that Industry is very Harsh, Struggling Life ahead, had a Conversation with A College Passout in Hotel, He Told us to choose Different Industry, and For Me they told me If you Had That Rank, Why had you Joined IHM Gwalior, so basically If I could have chosen Good College, Scenario would be Different

Exam Structure

7 Practical Exams, 5 Necessary and their Total's 30% will be added in Final Practical.3 Internals, 2 Compulsory, 30% of Total's in Final Theory Result.A Final Practical and Theory exam for Each Core Subjects, Theory Exams for Non-Core Subjects.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is Not That Bad. Still, Improvement Needed as Compared with Other IHM's. However, My Point of View is different as What I Observe Few Teachers do not know about their Subjects, they basically comes and Narrates the Notes and They are done, Also in the Practical Classes, they are heavily Dependent on Co-Staff which is basically their Assistants, Assistants Manages the Class, Also They know Better than Teacher. Equipments need a Way Change, they are either Old or Not in A Perfect Condition. Infrastructure is Good, which is Suppose to Change within Some Span of time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, this is a government university with low fees, but the faculties were amazing, I choose my course because I want a B.sc degree for approval of a license. The student ratio is nice not so crowdy not so boring. The teaching method was so polite students were asked what they want to ask and the teacher replied to every one of them. Semester-wise exam. Not so difficult to pass.
