Naveet Sheikh's Review On Institute Of Hotel Management Shri Shakti- [IHM], Hyderabad

This is a one and half year course, with 24 week training. The course is well maintained, few of the section we will focus and learn are cookery and larder theory, cookery practicals, larder practicals, bakery and pasteries theory, hygiene, equipment, maintenance and serve. We have kitchen and lab sessions which are good for us. Course is focused on job through short term course.

There are various companies which recuit our students are Cafe coffee Day, Hilton, The lalith, Costa, Holiday Inn, westin, Mc dowells, Days Inn, dominos,etc. We have compulsory 24 week training which is provided by our college. After this training we get industry ready to work.

The total course fee for this course is 75000. Fee is 63000, examination fee is 5000 and uniform fee is 7000. Fee is little expensive but it is good with scope, job opportunity, facilities and education.

Extra curricular activities are very limited for our course. We have less events for cultural, there are seminars, tests, competition, workshop. We have 24 hours training which is also good. College should hold more events, sports facilities are available, kitchen and practical areas are well equipped.

Hostel facility is there in our institute. They have separate Hostel for boys and sperate hostel for girls. Fee for ac room is 92000 for 1 year. The hostel has good infrastructure, well built and facilities, shared accommodation, study area, etc are given. We get food here in hostel, it is good.

There is alumni association in our institute. Events and alumni meets are also organised in our institute. With this we get more information about future prospects, future opportunities and steps we have to follow to achieve them. Seniors of our institute are very helpful. They help at various instances.

I am doing a certificate course from this institute on food products and pasteries. I applied for this course through online application, to apply for this course one must have completed 10th class. After applying online, I was selected based on my marks scored in 10th. This course is very fruitful to me and this college is well known in hotel management industry so I chose this institute.

We have good faculty in our institute. Our faculty are well educated, all have good background. Faculty are good at teaching the course, they are good at practicals also in kitchen and lab. They are very supportive to us, our faculty help us in guiding for future steps. They guide us to concentrate on education and solve our problems.
