Good Infrastructure

I completed my M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics from Ultra College of Pharmacy. I liked the overall labs and infrastructure of the college very much. The college had very good teachers which I found very useful throughout my course. My overall experience with the college was amazing.

The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University, also known as MGR University provides the college with affiliation. The syllabus is also decided by the university and as the course is of 2 years, there are total 4 semesters. Apart from end-semester university examinations, the college also holds regular examinations on its own.

There are many job opportunities open for students after this course in both government and private firms. After the course, one is eligible to work as a pharmacist, lecturer or assistant professor in pharmacy can work in medical research, drug testing and many possible positions in the field of pharmacy. One can also start as an entrepreneur starting his own pharmacy.

The fee for each year of my M.Pharm was Rs. 1lakh and the total fees for my whole course duration was around Rs. 2lakhs approx. The fee was quite feasible compared to other colleges and was also convenient for me.

The college regularly holds cultural and educational events for students throughout the year. The college has good labs with proper hygiene maintained for drug testing and different practical implementations. The college library is also quite good and has a wide variety of books there.

The college has good hostel facilities available, there are no strict rules imposed on the hostel. The room are also quite comfortable and the food served in mess is also quite healthy. The hostel also has a good lawn outside it.

The admissions of the students are on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the MGR university. After successfully getting the reporting letter, I visited the college where my documents were thoroughly checked for my eligibility and then I went with my admission process submitting and filing required forms. The admission process was good and very quick saving my time.

Most of the faculties are Ph.D holders and are very intellectual and knowledgable. They are also having years of experience in teaching and are very humble. The teachers never failed to answer our doubts and always guided us in our studies.
