Good colleges under Anna University For Engineering

The course curriculum is in line with the AICTE approved guidelines. The exams are held in a semester wise manner that is in a four years duration we have a total of 8 semester. End semester examinations are held twice in a year and are termed as the odd semester examination and the even semester examinations. Practical and theoretical examinations are held as a part of the end semester examination. In between the semester examination unit test and mid term test also held for evaluation purpose.

Placement rate of our college is good. Each year 60% to 70% of the batch strength is placed. Most of our seniors have got placements in good firms based on their own efforts. However that doesn't means that campus placements are not up to the mark. In terms of internship you have to manage on your own as college doesn't take the responsibility of extending the internship to all the student. With some effort one can easily find an internship on his own. I myself found an internship in a good firm through online searching and application.

Fees of the college is in line with the private colleges of Engineering. You have to pay around 4 to 5 lacs for the four year duration of the course. during the time of admission I submitted around 1.2 lacs which included the admission fees and other charges. For the subsequent years the fee is around 1 lakh with a little bit here and there. Since it might be hefty amount for money one can opt for financial assistance.

Tamil Nadu state government offers scholarship to the student that are domicile of the state. Scholarship is offered to the student based on certain criteria. This includes students from reserved category, economically weaker section etc. The central government also offers scholarship to the student through the national scholarship portal. Education loan facility can be availed from any private or public sector bank easily. For education loan one has to submit the admission letter of the college.

The college has various clubs like culture club, craft club, technical club and various engineering based clubs which organize different extra-curricular activities time to time. Sporting infrastructure is also good and is used for organising the annual sports meet. In terms of infrastructure of classroom I can say that our classrooms are equipped with all the necessary facilities that are required to make learning easier for the student. The labs are also well equipped.

I sat for the JEE main examination and after qualifying examination I got the college based on my score. I appeared for the counselling and during the later stages of the counselling I was allotted the college. I opted for the college because this is a very renowned college and is affiliated to the Anna University and is known for offering quality engineering education. One can also apply based on the state engineering entrance examination that is TNEA.

Faculty of your college is very experienced. Majority of the teachers are Ph.D holders in their respective discipline. The methodology of teaching is based on the approach so as to how to make the student learn the core of the concepts by making them understand the application part of it. In practicals will they try to inculcate the approach of learning by doing. Teachers are very cooperative and supportive.
