Positive facilities of our college includes the availability of well design infrastructure of the college building. The building includes badminton court, equipment for cricket, table tennis, volleyball and many other indoor games. The students are provided with various facilities like ragging cell, complaints of caste discrimination cell. There are also library, seminar hall which makes our college the overall best college of Himachal.

The main focus of the teaching staff at our college is to encourage the students so that they can be professional in terms of their career. The students are trained in such a way that they are very open to accept challenges and adapt themselves in the professional environment of their career. The college provides real-time academic support services for the help of the students also.

The placement and job opportunities at our college are endless because of the very well developed course curriculum which has been set up the concerned authorities of the college. The teachers are forever pushing the students to achieve professionalism in their way of working so that they can can create employment opportunities in the future.

The duration of the bachelors of dental surgery program from the Himachal dental colleges of 5 years. The average total fee of these 5 years of the bachelors in dental surgery course is around 35.25 lac. I am personally not very disturbed by the amount of this fee because I am really thankful to the detail course curriculum and the hard work of the teachers and I find the fees adequate as compared to the facilities.

Our college give special emphasis on the athletic skills of the students. There are number of sports competition held at college and also sometimes university level. Cultural festival is organised every year for the enjoyment of the students. There is a fun week which is organised for a period of one week and provides a platform to the students to showcase their talents. There is freshers party and farewell party also.

Very spacious and big hostels are provided at our college. There are different facilities for the student such as furniture and other basic facilities namely 24 hours CCTV security and 24 hours water and electricity supply. Guest room for parents if they visit their children in the hostels. Overall the security of the college hostel is very good. There is a presence of mess and common room.

My procedure to get admission in this college was to first clear the national level entrance exam which is conducted every year through the concerned authorities. After getting a valid score in the examination I went to fill up the admission form which is also available at the official website of the Himachal Dental College. Finally after getting the confirmation call for admission by the college authority, I paid my fees and clear my dues to get admission.

Doctor Ranjan Malhotra who is our principal is a very well developed personality. The students always look up to him when he deliver lectures on special occasion. Apart from him, all the other teaching staff is always encouraging the students to take up challenges regarding the course that they are studying. The teachers here are very well educated and have great experiences in teaching.
