Remarks

The only problem I have is that there should be more academic faculty as currently there aren't many. There should be a proper management system and schedule that should be followed. Due to the current pandemic going on we faced many communication and management shortcomings which should be resolved.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum for the first year is pretty basic as one can guess. They take up the general design segments and accordingly give assignments. The curriculum is definitely groomed to provide industry-specific knowledge. It focuses mainly on the boost of confidence we can get when explaining our designs and concepts.

Placement Experience

1.5

The college is new so we are not aware of any fixed amount for the internships but it will be probably good due to the name of the college and its brand.

College Events

2.5

Almost every festival is celebrated. We have had many celebrations and parties in our college and even university. For now, there are 3 colleges in our campus design, law, and management. And generally, the students of management organise these festivals and parties.

Fee Structure And Facilities

According to me, the fee structure is definitely a bit on the expensive side and right now we are not getting our money's worth in the case of academics. And as a design student, there aren't many facilities given to us regarding equipment and supplies as compared to other design colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

I myself have not applied for any scholarships and so can't give my personal experience. The eligibility criteria are to get more than 85 percent in the first year of your college and only one person can get it.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio is probably 5:3 though I can't be accurate, there is definitely diversity but the ambience is also nice. Not much can be said about it as the university is new and not many people are aware of it. The campus is pretty vast with very good facilities like gymnasium and different outdoor fields for different games like football and cricket. Many steps have been taken to indulge in extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are pretty good. The rooms are well-made and clean and proper maintenance and care is taken of them. The2 fantries facility on each floor is also appreciated. There is an adequate amount of privacy for a person in a room with the overall ambience of it being nice. Even the attendants do a good job.

Alumni/Alumna

As the university is new itself so we don't really have seniors to talk to and have a good understanding or guidance. The teachers are our only guidance and have interactions with.

Admission

I always wanted to be a designer and hence I applied for many design colleges including NID and symbiosis. I read many good reviews about the symbiosis design college in Pune. The first step to admission was the SET exam that is conducted by symbiosis from there you are selected for the second round. The second step is the studio test and interview from where you are finally selected.

Faculty

2.5

The number of sessions is around 150. The teachers are also pretty young with good qualifications and skills. Many informative seminars are also held but many times they aren't really that helpful or related to our course. There aren't enough teachers as of now in my opinion. Lectures and workshops absolutely hold relevant industry experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The creative assignments and learnings of how to think out of the box made me choose this course. The curriculum prepares us well and we learn how to move forward. but the real world is something which we learn only when we enter the field. The teaching methods can improve by introducing more practical engagements and field visits. Frequency of exams are not to much and exams are easy to clear.
