Remarks

There are no bad remarks for my college as every important thing is present for the development of the students such as good placement and good and informative faculty, hostel facilities are also provided at good rates plus hygienic foods. Lastly, good activities are provided to take part in.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is, of course, a bit different and difficult as per the capability of a normal student but the way in which the syllabus is taught and provided to the students is very easy. Any student can ask for help from any faculty member. The exams and mainly practicals provide us with perfect knowledge of the stream.

Placement Experience

There is a good placement record at our college. Big companies like Mcdonalds, Reliance, Barbeque nation, Indigo, lemon tree, and many more food-related companies make sure that they recruit the best people from our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The overall fee for the BSc course in hotel management is about 3.5 lac. The first-semester fee is about 1 lac which is paid in two installments at regular intervals. The fee is high but by the availability of scholarships and loans, you can get away with half of it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are present for the students who belong to the category of BPL households. You can always check the scholarships on the official website of the Madhya Pradesh government. Almost every scholarship is provided by the government of MP itself.

Campus Life

Two major programs are held at our college namely- "Hunar Se rozgar program" and "Entrepreneurship Program". Both of these programs provide employment opportunities to the students of our college. Apart from these, cultural events are also organized by the authorities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are available for the students who live far away from the college campus. Also, the fee of the hostel is about Rs. 25000. The hostel fee is only payable once a year. The hygiene of the college is very good and also the canteen gives good and healthy food.

Admission

The admissions at our college are a very critical affair. First, I had to register myself for the All India Written Entrance Examination which is held at a national level every year. I then gave the examination and finally was selected at the college.

Faculty

The faculty at the college is very informative because they all are always ready to help the students in terms of practicals and viva. As a student of hotel management, it is very important to give correct viva and our teachers help us for the same.

My IHM days…

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester on, students are trained mentally to participate in the placement process. The first step is to choose the representative who will take charge of the particular set of students for example their resume building, resume submission, informing students about the upcoming companies arrival in the institution for placements and the designations for which they are coming. Nearly from the 6th semester, placement process starts to take place. Name of the companies are: Taj hotels snd resorts Oberoi hotels and resorts Delhi duty free Arvind fashion Lemon tree hotels Madhuban resorts Club Mahindra Mariott hotels Starbucks Highest package was around 4.50lac/annum Average package was around 2.25lac/annum Nearly 77% students were placed from the colleges placements, few opted out for further studies. I was placed in Marriott Hotels.

Placement Experience:

Form last semester 6 that is the final year final semester after that you are eligible for the placements. There are many companies and hotels with are a part of our college placement. College provides opportunities to be selected in the PI round and get a job at these hotels. Companies like Radisson blue, Marriot, and many more are a part of college placements. The interviewer will not select you on the basis of your looks or way of talking but also from the way you carry yourself, your skills, your way of handling things, knowledge and all sort of things.

My NCHM CT jee score 972 so I could also applied for the IHM Pusa but I applied in the SIHM indore because it was closure to my hometown Jabalpur.I could have chosen Bhopal but my parents suggested me not to go for IHM bhopal because of the city environment.Also I applied for IHM GWALIOR,IHM RAIPUR,IHM BHOPAL ,SIHM INDORE .I got selected for SIHM indore in the first round of counselling so there is no question for Rejection.
