Mass media is a field very much renowned yet so unexplored. Students at our college aim to excel in this field and make people aware about the good side of the media. The subject are very interesting and the exposure to the outer world in the syllabus itself is amazing.

Placement Experience

Not all media graduates are placed through on campus recruitment drive, but many international and national companies like Tata, TCS etc come to our campus and offer the graduating students many job opportunities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college is a government college, and is affiliated to Mumbai University. It is affiliated to open private university as well. The fee structure as compared to other private colleges is way more cheaper in this college.

Campus Life

There are a lot of annual competitions held at our college. Graduation and degree giving ceremony, dance competitions, sports meet etc are all an integral part of our college extra curricular activities. Educational tours are also happening now-a-days at our college.

Admission

The admission to the Bachelors of Mass Media course is done on the basis of merit list provided by the college. The students will be selected on the basis of the percentage they secure in the 12th grade.

Some of the most intelligent media graduates are a part of our faculty and the Mass media Department. Young teachers are said to have a fresh experience and know more about present generation, but we have some experienced teachers as well as guide us beautifully.

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. Remarks:

KJ Somaiya College is a very huge college and has a perfect system of everything. Proud to be a student of this college. They have extra curricular activities cultural forum fests and much more. They also have outdoor Games, athlete ground, hostels, 7 to 8 canteens. The teaching system is quite good they have compulsory 75% of attendance.
