Isshan Institute of Law is the ideal place for the eager student, hoping to become a lawyer some day. The college provides an excellent place to learn and grow, not just in terms of academics but also in terms of extra-curricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum, just as in any other law college, is quite detailed. However, the excellent faculty and college facilities like the library can ease the load on the students. The faculty try to finish the curriculum few days prior to the examinations, so that students have time to plan and prepare before they attend it.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities in law colleges are completely dependent upon the capabilities of the student. The student can either seek out to become a junior advocate at court under the mentor ship of a senior advocate, or move on to their preferred specialization.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The 5 yeear B.A LL.B course has a fee structure of nearly Rs. 30,000 per year, excluding certain exam and utilities fees. This is a relatively low amount in comparison to some other law colleges, which charge nearly three or four times this for the same course.
Campus Life
The college has some incredible infrastructure, and there are many clubs here that take advantage of this. Many spheres of extra-curricular teams like sports, music, debates, etc take charge in college regularly, so that the students can take some time off their studies and reset or relax for a while before getting back into the groove.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities provided by the university is excellent and well thought out. The rooms are large and spacious, with Wi-Fi. The food is hygienic and the washrooms are kept clean. The hostels are located relatively close to the city and the timings are reasonable.
Alumni/Alumna
Many famous lawyers can trace their roots back to this college, and come visiting regularly. The college encourages their students to put forward questions and seek guidance from the Alumni, who are more than happy to sort out whatever inquiry the students might have.
Admission
The minimum requirements for the B.A. LL.B course requires a minimum percentage of 45% in 12th grade exams. The students can either apply directly through CCS University, Meerut or enter based on merit in the Common Law Admission Test or CLAT.
Faculty
The faculty of the college are extremely well versed in their fields and are always open to doubts from the students. The teachers finish their portions well before the beginning of the assessments so that students have time to go through the material and come back with any doubts they may have.
