University is growing day by day but with the students and staff. As university assume students and staff members to be the biggest asset and success mantra of this NAAC A+ accredited university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well designed with keeping in mind the holistic development and growth of the student. The curriculum is enhanced with Academic and Non-Academic activities which helps in polishing the skills and fresh talent is identified. There are many activities organised at the department and university level where students can interact face to face with the delegates of the corporate world i.e Guest lectures, Symposium, Conferences and etc. The well-defined format is there for industrial visits . Students visit these companies to see the practical applicability of theoretical concepts
Placement Experience
Many multinational companies visit the university last year, of course, such as Tata insurance, Barclays insurance, ICICI and etc. By taking no objection certificate from the university , students are allowed to work in last semester. Every department has a placement coordinator which enables with information related to all the placement drives going to be held in the university.
College Events
Many events are organised by the university and department. All the events are organised by the dean student welfare department which is assisted by the hard working team of students. All the events are organised for the students and staff members of the university. Firstly every year convocations are held where university distribute degrees with proper regulation by inviting a prominent personality for degree distribution. Other then this live in concerts, evoke, Tech invent, Founder day and etc are celebrated with pomp and show.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are cheap as compared to other private institutes. My annual semester fees were 1,10,000 rs which included academic fees, examination fees and security fees. For hostel university was charging 90000 rs annually which included staying and food expense. There is 100% transparency in fees breakup. Transportation charges are according to the route. University has all the modes of payment whether its online or offline.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, I have opted for the sports scholarship. I am a national player of boxing. I got relaxation in academic fees and hostel fees. For scholarship, CU is having a different department where students can visit and solve the queries. The scholarship is a transparent process with no hidden fees or requirements. Many other scholarships are available such as Merit students, Defense personnel, NCC-NSS Scholarship and etc.
Campus Life
Chandigarh University campus is a culturally diverse campus where students from 29 states and 30+ countries are studying happily. Many events are organised for national and international students. For extracurricular activities like sports, there is a sports complex with all the latest amenities. There is a different coach for different games. Many competitions are held where students are invited from other universities
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network of Chandigarh University is strong and well established. As every year 2-3 times these alumni are called for the one to one interaction with the students. They discuss their success stories and throw light on the outer world that is corporate. Many of them are entrepreneurs which tell about the daily risks they are facing and the solution to it.
Admission
I choose this course because I wanted to develop management skills so that I can prove myself to be an asset in my father's company. So i wanted to pursue BBA. I selected this university because of many reasons. Firstly the University is accredited with the best grades and all the required affiliations are available. Secondly, the global exposure where the student learns about the global trends and requirements as the university is having tie-ups with more than 200+ universities globally and there are students from 29 states and 30+ countries studying in university.
Faculty
In a day there are 8 lectures and per semester there are around 35-40 lectures per subject. It is mandatory to observe 75% attendance in each subject otherwise the student is not eligible to appear in the examination. Faculty of the university are mostly doctorates and many are pursuing doctorates. Many faculties are having a corporate experience which helps in giving corporate insights. Faculties are well trained and enhanced with experience and expertise in there specialization.
