Course Curriculum Overview
Our syllabus was updated as per the norms prescribed by Thapar University. It was very detailed. Student's performance assessment was done on the basis of class performance, summer internship report, project report, external exams, etc.
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty good at our college. A number of companies come to our college in order to recruit students from different departments. Reliance, HCL, Finite Infotech, etc. The packages offered to the fresher are also good. Average internship stipends were somewhere around 10-25k while the average salary package was 6 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I paid 4 lack annually and 8 lacs for the entire course. This fee included a tuition fee, examination fee, library fee, registration fee. Hostel charges are to be separate. The mess food is pretty cheap and the cafeteria was also pretty feasible.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network was vastly strong in our college. The members of alumni associations work towards the betterment of the college and the students. One of the key areas they work towards is bringing companies for placement drive etc.
Admission
Admissions are on a merit basis. Merit is prepared on the basis of academic performance and entrance exam scores of the student. The counseling process was pretty easy. After the interview, I went through the document verification process.
Faculty
All of our faculty members were MBA graduates themselves and had relevant experience in teaching. Teaching was good. Several guest Lectures were organized on topics ranging from any latest advancement in the corporate sector in a particular niche or any personal research conducted by the designated faculty. These lectures influenced a lot of my batch-mates into considering entrepreneurship.
