Remarks

The cost of living is even lesser than that, but it's not in the options. The college doesn't force its opinions on the students is one positive thing that I like about the college. On the other hand, even though the Science, Commerce and Arts students have nothing against each other to hate, the staff is not so good with students of other streams during the fests.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course was great. I'm going to write the 2nd PU Board examination in a few days. The exam structure is like they have a few unit tests and then a mid term examination, then 1 or 2 preparatories and then the final examination.

Placement Experience

2.5

Ours is a Pre-University college, so there are no job options. But the options of further studies are great. In my point of view, me being a Commerce student, we have got coaching classes for the CA foundation course. And for the science students, they've got coaching for all the exams from CET to NEET, JEE and KVPY

College Events

3.5

There are so many fests organized here in our college. One of the main ones is DREAMS, which is for the 10th standard students of all schools in the town. And then, there are College day, Sports day for the students themselves. We even celebrate a lot of festivals, Ganesh Chathurthi tops the list. The whole college gets united and it is so much fun with a big procession.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is so much feasible. It comes to an average of 25 thousand INR for Commerce and Arts students, and the Science students having access to laboratories have it little more excluding the coachings. There are also a long list of scholarships provided for children of low income people and the ones who have performed exceptionally in the previous examinations.

Fees and Financial Aid

I've got a scholarship because of my marks in SSLC, my fees has been reduced by like 5000 rupees. There are many more fee concessions for poorer people and scholarships for OBCs, SCs and STs. They need to fill up some necessary documents and they're done.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio is almost equal and thankfully there's no discrimination regarding any factor like the gender or the caste. There are so many associations and societies. I was a part of the Commerce association and they have a lot of competitions, workshops to educate the students. Politically, the college is alligned towards the right wing but it's not forced upon the students.

Alumni/Alumna

Not really, since the students here spend only 2 years of their lives, it doesn't create such a great bond. So most of the times, there's no real interaction between the alumni and the current students or the staff.

Admission

After I had passed my SSLC, I wanted to take up Commerce and this is like the best college in town. So I went for the admission and the process was pretty simple. We were made to submit all the necessary documents and then, they pretty much took us in.

Faculty

4

The faculty is good too. They are a bit old school, but the experience some of them have is immense and the ways of teaching is amazing too. They adopt methods that mostly are not the new technologies, but at the same time, they make sure students don't lag behind with the latest technologies as well.

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
