The college management worked at its best to provide education for women the college is working effectively in the dreams of Ethiraj.

Ethiraj college is one of the well known institution in soth India i chose B.com corporate secretaryship because of the commerce background and it was known that the department was one of the eminent and great one.

Corporate accounting, company law, business ethics, cost accounting, environmental studies, business laws, business economics, Hindi, Sanskrit, basic Tamil, English, income tax, Secretarial laws,business statistics .

The internship course would be 1 month in the summer vacation in the end of the 4th semester ashok Leyland is the company where I did my internship no stipend aa such were paid.

The placement cell of Ethiraj works at its best we had various companies like Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Royal Bank of Scotland, RR donnlley, Barclays, scope international, tata consultancy services the salary packaged ranged from 1.5 to 3.5 lakhs per annum.

The college is known for its culturala since its inception we have collegiate level inter competitions called srishti we have competition for freshers among inter departments called aarambh we have department associations named Ethics other than this we have festival celebrations across all religions also we have celebrations of our founders day and other important days.

College has two time setting namely morning and evening while morning college was aided by government and evening was self financed the morning college collected fees of Rs. 800-1000 the college fees is Feasible we had aided and self finance department i belonged to self finance and the fee per semester was around 15000 and exam fees around 900.

I did not avail not any scholarships but have heard of scholarships for toppers and other backward class students.

Since it is college were women we were completely girls we had students from across India the college encouraged diversity and multilingualism sports were also highly encouraged with availability of Physical education teacher and tournaments they also conduct sports meet every academic year.

The rooms were to be shared among 2-3 girls the foodbin the hostel was good since the campus was big the accomdation was comfortable the hostel could accommodate around 2000-3000 students.

Alumni meet happens every academic year on January 26th all the college alumni participate in the event our alumni were not only invited for alumni meetings but also for various programmes.

The exams were as same as curriculum established by Madras University we had labs for learning tally we had assignments for every subject in every semester we have 2 internal assessments, assignment and end semester examinations forcwach semester.

The department has around 15 faculties teaching the electives and non electives the non electives were taken over by other specialised department otherwise major electives were taken by the department staffs.
