Remarks

The college working hours is way too long and would get really monotonous and cumbersome if it wasn't for extracurricular activities. Many of the bank holidays are not considered holidays and are kept working days for eg. Bakri Eid. Also the attendance rule of more than 80% attendance sometimes just seems cruel. But on the brighter side, we make connections for life. Friends who became family and I'm thankful to the college for that

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is up to date. The curriculum itself undergoes changes as new laws and advancements are made so as to keep the students informed and ready to jump into the field. The exam structure is in accordance with the PCI and it is relevant and targets to increase the curiosity the Hunger for knowledge in students.

Placement Experience

5

Placement in our college has always been one of the best. The placement rate is always above 95% and the faculty in charge of placements help students groom themselves to become better employees and give us great tips on how to climb the corporate ladder. A lot of renowned companies come to NMIMS to recruit employees. Companies like sun pharma, Alembic pharmaceutics, Cipla, lupin, GSK often return fulfilled when they hire employees from SPPSPTM

College Events

5

Our main cultural and business fest is Isthumus-Urjja. It is a 2 day festival in our college where On the first day, i.e. the day of Isthmus many corporate cultural events are held. Events like the wolf of wall street where participants are given virtual credit and ate told to invest in the share market and return as many profits as possible. The second day of this festival is the day of Urjja where cultural competitions like Fashion show, Dance and singing competitions are held. Our college also has 2 external committees that ensure participation in the festival of other colleges as well. Our sports committee called Excalibur helps students change their pace by participating in many indoor and outdoor sports events like table tennis, carrom, cricket, football and even virtual sports such as FIFA. These committees and events ensure that we students do not get too stressed or bored by the monotonous routine and helps bring a sense of competitiveness in different aspects.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As far as private colleges go, the fees paid to NMIMS is justified. It may not be feasible for everyone to spend 4 lakhs on education but nonetheless the placement rates and the environment in the college alone is more than enough to justify the fee. Equipment required in the laboratories are expensive and to ensure that the students are not learning from outdated methods and technology, SPPSPTM invests in only the best instruments and equipment. Each class is air-conditioned and have smart boards installed which have become pretty important tools for studying.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college did offer scholarships to students in case some students needed help to pay off their fees. Personally I didn't need any scholarship and decided that it may be better if someone else more in need of the scholarship takes it.

Campus Life

5

The environment on the campus is just optimal for the students to learn and grow as Individuals. The campus is full of life every day and a happy and cheery mood is often the setting of the college. The gender ratio is very unbiased and equal. The committees responsible for extracurricular activities do a great job in setting up competitions and workshops for students so as to make learning much much more enjoyable. The college encourages students to take part in debates and MUN's and even sends students for debates and other competitions to different colleges. This helps build a network among students from the same field as well as from different fields. The behaviour towards students and faculty is in no form affected by their race, gender, sexuality or their ethnicity. In fact, one of my seniors is an exchange student from Nigeria and the behaviour towards her is no different from what it is towards everyone else.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students have ways welcomed us and helped us settle down and get used to the routine when we first joined. We get along very well with our seniors and they have helped us many times in many ways be it helping in studies or if it is just being there as a friend. Many senior students who have already graduated return to the college to talk to us and socialise with the class in order to encourage them and tell them that it is possible to live a happy life even when we are in college for soo long.

Admission

I opted for this course because I want to work in the Healthcare sector but not necessarily be a doctor. This institution is one of the utmost premium colleges there is for pharmacy. The admission process starts with an entrance test, through which one can apply for any of the colleges in NMIMS institution. Based on the scores one gets shortlisted for the academy. We can confirm ones seat in the academy by paying the fees after being shortlisted.

Faculty

4

The college faculty go way beyond to ensure that each and every student is attended. They ensure that not only the students are knowledgable but also that they are capable of carrying out and leading any task assigned to them in their workplace. They themselves are eager to learn and adapt to newer studies and advancements in the field of Pharmacy. Every faculty is more than qualified to teach us the subjects and are capable of handling our doubts without any hesitation. Most teachers have a practical approach towards studying and depend more on real-life examples and scenarios to condition us towards success.
