Remarks
SV Institute of Management is a place which is allowing the students to fulfil their dreams of higher studies at such a nominal prices, which is a remarkable thing. We learned a lot from the course and the curriculum was pretty updated and advanced. Infrastructure, extra-curricular activities, industrial exposure was remarkably good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was customised as per the current market trends and specifically aimed at providing a holistic view of corporate. For the first two semesters, we studied all subjects in brief. In between second and third semester we were supposed to attend a two month internship. After that, we were supposed to opt for a specialisation from the available set of elective subjects. Final semester also includes working on a dissertation topic. Exams are held at the end of each semester.
Placement Experience
Our placement cell is pretty much supportive and active throughout the year. From inviting companies for the recruitment drive to invited industry specialists for delivering guest lectures our placement cell was pretty efficient. Companies like Cera, Berger Paints, Twinstar, ZMS, etc., visit our campus and offer students a decent salary package. Salary packages offered to the students ranges in between INR 3-7 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My MBA course fee was annually INR 95k, and for the two years program I paid 1.9 lacs which was pretty feasible, especially in terms of a professional course like MBA. We gained a lot from the course and SVIM delivered full value for my money.
Admission
I did MBA from the SV Institute and the admission process is pretty smooth and straightforward. My admission was done on the basis of my CMAT exam scores. Application forms can be procured from the college by paying the application fee. A basic merit list is prepared on the basis of academic details and entrance exam scores.
Faculty
Faculty was pretty helpful and one of the highlights of my MBA program. The teaching methodology included a lot of the practical references to make us better understand the topic. Almost every classroom session was an interactive session which also included occasional assignments, presentations, and case study discussion, etc.
