My journey with GIM college

The exam structure was pretty robust and updated as per the industry standards. The course structure for our college is prescribed by Bangalore University. Our syllabus consisted of the practical implication of various topics and models learned during classroom teaching. A regular day would feature some 6-7 hours of classroom teaching and some breaks in between.

Our college offered their full cooperation in the placement process. We had a number of frequently visiting companies like Decathlon, Asian Paints, Colgate, KPMG, Amazon, etc. The average package offered was around 3 LPA, while some students from my batch even secured a package of around 7 LPA.

Our institute believes in celebrating life, along with becoming a successful leader of the future. We celebrated the Annual day, republic day, international yoga day, in our institute. Apart from that many other events were also celebrated in our college like the Freshers day, farewell, etc.

Our college gives a lot of emphasis on the overall development of the students, pushing them towards taking part in numerous activities including sports, cultural, competitive, etc. Many activities like the sports day and workshops were some of the highlights of our program.

The alumni network of our college is pretty vast, especially the institute being one of the oldest management colleges in India. Our college maintains a close relationship with them and invites them for annual alumni meet, in order to motivate the students.

I got admission on the basis of the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) which is one of the leading management level entrance tests accepted by many esteemed universities as a pre-requisite for the entrance to a business program. I prepared for the entrance test, as well as for the interview and written ability test, for which I was pretty confident.

Our faculty was very helpful and resourceful. The teaching consisted of real-life references and case study analysis to project the thought process of the students in an analytical direction. All of the faculty members were experienced in their niche industry and shared their experiences accredited over the years.
