Best in class universities for post graduate Courses

VBU is the best university of jharkhand. The quality of knowledge they fill you with is not comparable. Most important thing is professors are highly educated and are ready to give every bit of their knowledge to their students. I personally would recommend VBU for postgraduate coursees.

The syllabus is as prescribed by UGC. Although syllabus doesn't have much research focusing part. Ine of the best thing about VBU is, it is the only university in Jharkhand where all sessions are on time. So students don't have to worry for frequent exams or so.

As M. Sc. is not a professional course and also it is a government funded university. So there is no job placements for graduates. Although students get off campus placed in different companies. Also students get opportunity to do internships in various IITs which could help in further research.

Different department celebrate different events. Like our maths department celebrates mathematics day, science day. Also we organize blood donation camps. Cultural fest, youth fest, annual sports meet are organized on university level.

As M. Sc. is a government funded course, so we need to pay only the admission fee, which is 2200 rupees and examination fee of 750 rupees per semester, which is quite pocket friendly. You only need to worry about your expenses in lodging and food.

Scholarship is offered by jharkhand government for SC or ST students only. No scholarships for general category or OBC students. Around 500 ruppes per month scholarship is provided directly in the bank account of student.

Time to time different departments organize their workshops. Departments have their respective cultural society for organizing these programs. University have more girl students than boys, the gender ration should be atleast 1200 girls per 1000 boys. Students from different states come here. And till now I haven't seen any kind of intolerance regarding gender, race, religion, politics or anything else.

University's boy's hostel is still under construction. So boys have to stay in PG or rent a flat. PG rental is around 1200/month. Seats in girls hostel are few so girls also stay in PG or rental flats. Don't worry they are easily available near the University.

Seniors are also very helpful. When I took admission in this university i was little scared about ragging, but i want all of you to know that there is no ragging in any postgraduate course. Seniors are always ready to help. Always ready to provide us with a better prospective.

Admission process is simple, just wait for the notification for admission. After the notice is published, go to the jharkhand chancellor's portal and fillup the admission form and just wait for the cut off list. As i belong to a lower middle class family, so i cannot afford private colleges and VBU is far better than those expensive private institutions in all aspects.

Professors are well qualified and helping. Always encouraging students for research works and to do more. Even the non teaching staff is helpful. Also the PhD scholars helps us in our study or research papers.
