Remarks
Outside College is too much dominated by marathi. Just stay away from them. Even if it's there mistake just get away from there, don't get indulge with them. Beware from brokers and flat owners as well.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well designed. In 1st year subjects are same for all irrespective you have selected any specialisation. From second year classes get divided as per specialisation. Specialisation as follows: 1) Marketing 2) Finance 3) HR 4) IT 5) IB Among all marketing, finance, HR is popular. Research opportunities are provided by College and university but it is limited that only few or 1, 2 student are able to get support. So students don't take much interest. Exam Structure: 1st is Mid term exam: It includes syllabus of 3-4 units out 6-7 units total for exam on average. End term- It's kind of online test Mcq questions. From whole syllabus. University exam - It's very strictly taken, attendance above 75% is compulsory.
Placement Experience
I was fortunate enough to get internship opportunity from campus. I got internship in Reliance Industries Ltd. RIL is dream company for internship and placement for HR specialisation students. Internship period is 2 months. Internship opportunity is provided by College placement but it's very limited so it's to search on your own. Placement are good. During my admission time total fees for 2 yr was ? 3, 92800 I got placed in a top rated start-up through College placement with package of ?5. 5 lpa package. So for me it's best.
College Events
Annual fest- Xpressions It's a annual fest where all Colleges of pune are invited for participating. HR meet Hr's from across industry invited tfor get together and dinner, there the College growth and placement records are shared, to invite new companies for placement Alumni meet Alumni called to strengthen the alumni network International /National Seminars Seminars are held on Various subjects - Marketing, Finance, HR, Entrepreneurship
Fee Structure And Facilities
During my admission time fees was 3, 92, 000 for 2 years Plus every semester you need to 5000-6000 for university exam fees. Apart from this are no other major expenses. Hostel charge 90000 for 1 year It's feasible because other Colleges are charging not less than 600000-700000lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
There's nothing like that in my knowledge that anyone has got any scholarship or financial assistance. But there a student exchange programme with a lineaus university Sweden. Where 2 student from imed goes to Sweden for 6 months and 2 student from lineaus university come to imed for 6 months. Which is completely funded by university.
Campus Life
Extra curricular activities is below average if student is very much enthusiast then he can go for it. College will support him if he bring some awards or medals. 30% of population is local or say from maharashtra only. Rest 60% are from north- Delhi, UP, Bihar. On avg 40% of total population are girls.
Hostel Facilities
Honestly hostels are not good for stay. Hostel will cost you around 90000 for 1 year including food. It's basically 2 or 4 sharing. Hostel is for 1st year only after that you need shift. If you rent a 1 bhk flat nearby it cost you 10000 to 14000 rent which can accommodate 3 people. Beware of broker if you rent flat.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, alumni network is really helpful. They get internship and placement too. Time to time alumni visit for different student sessions and events. Few of the alumni have become CEOs and they are well settled abroad. College tries hard to connect with their alumni and invite for placement.
Admission
There's a entrance test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth named BMAT. BMAT includes aptitude test+ Group Discussion+Personal Interview. IMED, Pune & BVIMR, Delhi are top management College under Bharati Vidyapeeth University. To get into these to your rank should be below 450.
Faculty
Most of the faculty Phd which is good they have lot knowledge of subject but delivery of same is average. Reason could be less interested students. Some faulty are really good you can attend their lecture for whole day without getting bored. It's also 95% of faculties are Marathi so you'll frequently get to listen marathi in class.
