The Best Times of My Life

The campus is very good with really very good and educated people around. The infrastructure is not very good but Okay. Management is good with my knowledge and our new Dean is a very good man.

I wanted to get into Software field. I had 196.75 cutoff. I took the best option for my score that is Information Technology in MIT, Anna University, the second best college in Tamil Nadu. I didn't think of anything else.

With the longed career in my hand and with one of the best colleges, I enjoyed the course. It was tough at first but everything became easy when studying with friends and getting advice from good faculties. The course I took(IT) totally deals with programming and related subjects like database management, software engineering,etc. They provide very good information on the current and upcoming technical aspects and improving the fields.

Microsoft, Paypal, Codenation, Amazon, Samsung,Goldman Sachs and many more companies came. They gave summer Internship programs with up to INR50000 per month. More students got intern in these companies.

The companies that came for providing Internship primarily came for placements. Other than them, Companies like Infosys, CTS, etc. also came and took more students adding up the list. About 90% who attended paements have placed so far leaving others having half an year left.

Main college festivals are MITAFEST and SIVARANJANI. MITAFEST is a grand National level Inter-college fest taking place for 4 days during the february of ever year. Sivaranjani is an Intra-college fest taking place for 3 days during September or November of every year. Fests provide entertaining as well as Knowledge-based events, programs, games, workshops, etc. Apart from these, each department has their own Inter and Intra college fests every year.

As its a government institution, the fees are less compared to other private colleges. I pay nearly 14000 per semester and exam fees is Rs.150 per subject. The total fees wont go greater than 31000.

I think there is no scholarships specifically from my college but there are many scholarships provided by government as well as private organizations based on the economic-level of the students.

The campus life here is best and different from other colleges. The extra-curricular activities are self developed by the students only support is given by the management. Sports is given more importance and both boys and girls involve with larger numbers. Campus is tension-free for both boys and girls.

I am staying in a rented-house with my brother and two others near my college. The rent is Rs.7000 per month. We have 2 bedrooms, a hall and a kitchen. Its more than good for us. Cost of food will be the worst. It will cost nearly 150 per day for a person

One of the best experience in my life. Our college is well-known for senior-junior relationship. We have a system called T-series where the people with same register numbers with different year are a series. They help each other, provide advises and so on. All seniors try help us in all ways.
