A journey worth sharing

The college is well established and has had a good reputation.The faculty are experienced and dedicated.The infrastructure, due to lack of funds, has decayed over the years.Whatever equipments are available are old and slow.

The course is design oriented with a dedicated research subjects.There are 2 theory papers every semester and multiple vivas.The theory subjects are quite intensive and interesting covering multiple theories.

There are little to no placements provided in Architecture colleges in general and so there are no jobs provided here too.However, recomendations are given to students of where they can apply for internships and job placements.

A lot of events and competitions take place throughout the year with main festival named 'Karandak'.This festival includes academics, sports, drama, talent shows, technical competitions and seminars.

The fee is pretty nominal and needs to be paid when the semester starts.However in special cases where students may not be able to pay the entire fee at once are given the option to pay in 2-3 installments.

I have not availed any scholarship or loan through the college and as such do not possess any information in this regard.However there are a few government scholarships for special castes and minorities and female students that can be availed.

Since the college is a part of a large campus, there are lots of extracurricular activities that take place for both boys and girls.The activities include sports, drama, talent shows, competitive fests and are open to all.There is little to no evident discrimination in the campus or in administration based on gender or sexual orientation.

I have not availed any hostel or college dormitories and stay in private residence.The college hostel fees range from 50k+ INR to 80k INR per annum depending the number of students in a room and overall infrastructure provided.

There is little to no contribution of alumnis and little coordination from management with regards to this.This results in reduced exposure to what is currently happening in market and lesser job opportunities.

MH-CET entrance exam has to be given by anyone who wants to take admission in PG courses in Maharashtra.Once the exam is given and results published, the students have to fill an options form and are placed based on merit.

The faculty are well qualified and reputed but over the last few years due to financial mismanagement and delayed salary payment not many new experienced faculty are willing to join.There is a dearth of teachers in the field too.
