Remarks

The overall remark would be neutral. There are places where the college was too good like skill development and seminars. On the other hand it had some serious drawbacks like no internship for engineering students And the placement was also not up to the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure was good but it focused on research on more often in the 3&4 year of engineering. During that time the course became more difficult and there was a lot of pressure on project submission and with the flow diagrams and all. The exams and labs were very frequent we had 2 lab classes daily but sometimes during college fests it gets more chilled. We had 2 internals every semester which included theoretical and practical exams and some online quizzes.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement and job opportunity was not as good as iit's but was decent. students got placed in MNC's. There was better job opportunity for diploma students than engineering students in my college. It provided internship to diploma students only and engineering students have to get internships on their own.

College Events

4

The college fast was AROMA which was celebrated every year in the month of April students mainly participated in that and had multiple events in that sports, dance, poster, art, etc. College has even organised blood donation, cloth donation open camps for everyone where student or someone from outside can come and participate in it

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was moderate. Education fees: 70000/year, Hostel fees: 48k/year. I was on scholarship so i didn't had to pay a single penny from my pocket all was given by the government under its scheme living outside the hostel was a bit costly than in hostel

Fees and Financial Aid

There were many scholarship facilities given to girls. There were scholarships for people belonging to sc and st category. Many children from Bihar were studying there by giving only hostel fees and no education fees. J &k students were also there on 100% scholarship

Campus Life

3.5

Male10:female2 was the gender ratio. We had multiple workshops on skill development and character building. Had seminars. There were students who were part of rotary club and participated in various functions organised by them. We had place for namaj in hostel for Muslims and everyone was ok with that. Every festival was celebrated by everyone with full hope and joy.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I lived in the hostel for 4 years. There were attached bathrooms and there were three beds in reach room. They provided us with almirahs and geysers. We had 24*7 water facilities. Even had facility of coolers in summers.

Alumni/Alumna

The experience with college seniors was very cordial they always motivated us showed us what are the mistakes the had done and we shouldn't do. They helped us in learning by providing their notes and books to us.

Admission

There was a government scheme for j&k students to go out of state and study engineering. I applied through that scheme and got admission in my college Which is under Rajasthan technical university. Then my documents were checked by aicte and got my admission confirmed

Faculty

3.5

Faculty was qualified but was not much interested in teaching. Some professors were serious and never missed their lectures but some were just chilled out the faculty of electronics department which taught us some of the subjects were very particular about their lectures but the faculty of CSE focused more on coding rather than theoretical stuff. They said u can pass the exam but the skills u require need to be worked upon.

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
