Review on My College BJB Autonomous College

The College is regarded as the top most Premier College of Odisha. But due to student elections conducted in the college there takes place many violent events which disturbs the environment of the college.

We have very CBCS (Choice Based Credit System )Course Curriculum of Various Commerce Subjects. The exams are conducted as Semester wise as we have one Internal exam of 20 marks and the Main Semester exam of 80 marks (in each semester).

There's no placement cell in the college for Degree Students i.e BA,B.sc and Bcom students. All the Students have to depend upon many offsite placement outside the college for placements. Though the college has a placement cell but it is only for the Self Financing Students.

We have various cricket tournaments organized in our college such As Inter-stream Buxi Cup Tournament, Ambedkar Premier League ,Buxi Premier League. We also have many department wise seminars,quiz and debates year round.

The fee structure is very less and feasible which makes it easy to be afforded by a poor student.The fees for the Basic Degrees are nearly around Rs 2000 which is an affordable amount. There are also deductions in tution fees for girls and students belonging to SC/ST Castes.

The Government has initiated many scholarship programmes for the students. Medhabruti a Scholarship Programme is organised by the Government of Odisha.National Scholarship is also given out to students on the basis of merit by the Central Government.

We have very good labs having all the required essentials in it. The College excels in many sports all around India. Students are encouraged to take part in sports in which they are good at. We have a big Field at the campus which is used for Many Purposes such as for cricket tournament,Athletic Events,Football match etc.

We have a Alumni Association known as BJB Friends.They conduct many events and reunions once in 2-3 years. They have there own Management committee which takes care of all the finances and records of the Alumni Association.

There is a simple process of applying for admission to the college through DHE Odisha Website. After Applying the merit list will be published.From the Merit list we can know if we are selected for admission or not.If selected there is an offline process of admission in the college admission office.

We have very good and experienced faculty.They are Very Helpful and are very good mentors.They have expertise on the subjects they teach. Teachers also conduct extra classes to help the weak students in excelling in exam.
