Remarks

Good college overall. To grow as a person and also as a medical personnel. There are lot of activities that train you to be a good physician. There are lot of faculty who are too class who help in studying and teaching the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum is Very good. Entrance Exam for Christian Medical College vellore is not very hard. Simple concepts required to pass the exam. Exam is not hard at all compared to the other entrances that take place in the country.

Placement Experience

5

My college provides internship and stipend. Amazing hands on experience will be taught during internship. Every person gets posted in different departments over the period of one year. And it goes on like a rotation.

College Events

5

There are a lot of cultural events that take place in the college. There is interbatch music comp, interbatch dance comp, impact, cultural activities, a fest that is organized by CMC students called Pegasus, lot of religious activities as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is definitely NOT EXPENSIVE. It can be easily affordable by Indian middle socioeconomic status population. Christian Medical College is Not a highly demanding college when it comes to fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such scholarship/ loan facility is offered by Christian Medical College as far as I know. But I think they do have loan options with the local banks in Vellore, TamilNadu. Have to do a bit of research for this question.

Campus Life

4.5

The extracurricular activities are amazing. But many a times they can keep you away from studies. But otherwise good cultural activities. Good sports section is also available including football, basketball, tennis, cricket and you name it

Hostel Facilities

5

We have a men's hostel union there. It is one of the best hostels I've even been in! It has got amazing facilities. Good spacious rooms, very clean washrooms, a good common room for entertainment and another one for studying.

Alumni/Alumna

The students and the seniors are actually connected to each other. The senior students are definitely very approachable and helpful be it in giving a life advice or a personal advice or an academic advice. But they are definitely helpful and approachable.

Admission

Clear the entrance exam for the admission process which usually takes place in the month of May. Following that after a few days, they'll give the results where you'll be known if you are selected for interview or not. If selected perform well in the interview

Faculty

5

Very helpful and approachable. They also have this system called foster parenting where people are assigned to particular staff families and you actually belong to that family. The staff are highly knowledgeable and dependable

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) is pretty relevant to today's needs of a doctor, with more competency based skill learning and regular assessment of students, along with subjects like attitude, ethics and communication skills, pandemic modules etc. The only disadvantage is it still has a few redundant systems such as record maintenance etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a doctor, I can help people a lot. There is a lot to study and knowing the human body, to cure disease, and much more is a great experience. The curriculum prepares me to do great in my future endeavors. The thing I think they lack is a bit more clinical exposure for all students separately. Teaching methods are all good. They conduct exams after each important section, they teach. Around 6-7, internal exams are kept.

Speaking about positive remarks the teaching is very good, faculties are the best, the college campus is away from the city rush. I am talking about the negative remarks the hospital is about three kilometres from the college, the food is just average, the place don't have any major attractions, lack of greenery.
