There are uncountable good points about my college. Its one of the best dental college of India. The college gives best knowledge and experience to students studying here. Both undergraduate as well as post graduate course is good here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course as well as exam structure is all decided by the rajiv gandi university of health sciences. All the students studying in bds course has to attend atleast 75% lecture as well as practical classes and also complete the quota of cases to be eligible to attend external exam. We have to give three internal exams that will be assessed for throughout year's performance of the student and at the end one external exam which will be fairly corrected by the university.
Placement Experience
All the students after passing final year has to complete their 1 year clinical postings during their internship. The internship is compulsory for every student so that before entering the professional world every student can have ability and confidence to independently work and treat the patients. We also get stipend and an excellent clinical and patient exposure to get the best of the experience.
College Events
We have a fest called vivids for a month which is an inter-college competition which comprises of almost all the sports, arts as well as comoetitions related to our dental field. Apart from this fest the college celebrates every festival with great enthusiasm. College encourages all the sports competitions conducted by the university.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are different for students who got the college seat through comedk exam, through state CET, through management and thorugh NRI quota.It is feasible to pay the fees for the return of the knowledge and experience we get here.
Fees and Financial Aid
Indian Dental Association gives three scholarships of 2500, 1500 and 1000 awarded annually to top students securing highest aggregate marks in the academic year.The minority category students can apply for their scholarship facilities.
Campus Life
College as well as the university always encourages students for inter-college sports competition which includes most of the sports. The fest called vivids which is conducted by the college includes many competition in sports, arts, cooking and dental field.
Hostel Facilities
4.5/5 Hostel infrastructure and facilities are very good. Both the boys' as well as girls' hostels are really good. They are big, spacious, clean amd provide all the facilities like mess, cleaning staff, hot water, 24*7 electricity, tap water and drinking water.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students as well as the alumni are always approachable for any help.They help us in improving our theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Offenses like ragging are strictly banned by the college.
Admission
After passing 12th standard with good marks through science stream, i simultaneously prepared for many entrance exams. Out of many entrance exam comedk exams give an extraordinary opportunity fr students outside karnataka to study in karnataka state college.
Faculty
Faculty of my college is extremely knowledgeable as well as keep the ability to distribute their knowledge to their students. They are always approachable for any help.All the departments have enough number of staffs to teach us theoretical as well as practical work.
