Course Curriculum Overview

There are 2 major exams conducted each sem . Each sem consists of 100 marks The midsem which is of 20 marks and the end sem which is also of 50 marks. The rest 30 marks consist of vivas, presentations, attendance etc.

Placement Experience

The college has good campus placements. The average package is about 5-6 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get placed. I got placed from the campus itself and am now working with INDIA LAW, Mumbai and having a package of 6 lakhs per annum.

College Events

The college conducts practical legal training programmes and encourages students to participate in the moot court competitions. The college organizes Seminars, Conferences, Debates, Guest lectures and many more activities for students educational purpose like Guest lectures by eminent academicians, judges and administrators.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are offered by Kashmir Law College and government of Jammu and Kashmir to different categories. The categories are: SC's, ST's, OBC, dalit Christian's in Jammu and Kashmir, Physically disabled students, etc. The amount of scholarship provided is decided by the college.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is not provided by the college. There are private hostels and pg's nearby around the campus but the college doesnt have it's own hostel. The pgs are also reasonable and affordable. Private girls hostels are also good.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is awesome. The way they teach us there is outstanding. From substantive law to procedural law, they teach us with a great zeal and zest. Weekly tests are conducted to prepare you for the final examinations.

Law - The Lifeline

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible in the last semester as it creates a sense of employment in the students. The students are placed in various districts and high courts to make them experience the work of the field they are going into. After the course completion, the students are placed in various legal companies where the packages start from 3 lac to 10 lac per year. The students are placed in various companies on the basis of eligibility criteria. My plans after completing a course are to go for further studies.

best ever college

Remarks:

college management should be good and sound when they themselves have no cooperation the whole college suffers . i conclude it by saying our college had mismanagement during our last 2 years , no exams were on time, delayed results no court visits etc

I took the BA LLB entrance test which was not so easy nor very difficult but the average cut-off was 23 out of 60 for the general and the cut-off for the obc was 13 for st, sc it goes down to 8,9.
