Best College for BPT in Bangalore

I completed my BPT from Goutham College. It was an amazing experience, I learned a lot of new things, picked up skills and got tons of experience from here. The teachers helped me a lot during my education here. The hostel where I stayed was also good and we had good facilities and support provided by the college to help our academics and practical experience.

The college runs under the affiliation of Bangalore University and follows its prescribed syllabus. The examinations are held as per guidelines by Bangalore University. Apart from that college also conducts two to three internal examinations every year named as "Mid-Session" held in the month of October, and "Preparatory" held in the month of February. The overall performance of candidates is conveyed to parents/ guardians regularly.

Regarding placements, we BPT students had to go through a 6-month compulsory internship to have our hands-on experience and have industry exposure, to convert us into professionals. After successfully graduating, anyone can register his name in the placement cell to be notified and for guidance regarding the job. The college has tie-ups with many reputed firms to place the students to have a good career.

The fee for BPT is 1.6 lakh charged yearly which is quite expensive, so people usually take education loans or rely on scholarships to pay most part of their fees. Though, the fee is an average fee for BPT, even lower than the normal fee charged for same in other colleges.

A lot of programs and events are organized every year in college. The students love to participate in activities of their choice and interest in events. Inter-college competitions and other extracurricular activities are also encouraged a lot by the college and students taking part in any are backed up by the college with its support. The library is also filled with professional and non-professional books including journals, magazines, newspapers, research papers in English and regional languages.

Hostel accommodation is available for both girls and boys, the hostels are located adjacent to the college. The hostel is well furnished and the rooms are spacious and quite comfortable. Rules and regulations are strictly followed in the hostel premises. The negative point is that visitors are not allowed in the hostel even if they're parents/guardians. There are very strict rules amended in the hostel. Though the food served is quite good in the hostel. I liked the hostel stay and disliked a few things but they were meant for our security itself.

The admission in this college is on a merit basis. All the interested candidates are required to fill in their application forms. I applied for BPT under this college. I had an aggregate of 75% and a good score in all subjects, so I was selected for the interview round. The date and time of the interview were conveyed via post to me. On interview, an entrance test was held by the college comprising of basic aptitude and general knowledge questions. I cleared the test and got enrolled for the BPT course as I wanted. The admission process further was quite easy. The admissions are open till the seats are filled up. Normally the minimum criteria is being passed in 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects with 45% and 40% for SC/ST, for students belonging to Karnataka.
