Remarks
I completed my B.Sc. CS from Government Arts College. The infrastructure of the college was quite good and also the facilities provided. You will enjoy your college life there surely. The faculty is also well-skilled and understanding. The college also offers a number of scholarship for poor and meritorious students. Overall, the college has a decent environment to study and learn and enjoying your graduation time.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college strictly follows the guidelines and prescribed syllabus drafted by the Thiruvalluvar University, Tamil Nadu. Thiruvalluvar University provides affiliation to the college and the college is one of the top names under the university. The syllabus follows a semester-base plan with 6 semesters. Starting semesters aim at increasing the basic aspects and then the whole focus is directed on computer-based subjects and programming subjects. Also, the examinations are held on a semester-basis and internal examinations are also held by college for timely evaluation of students’ preparation for the university exams.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for the college is quite feasible. The fee for my B.Sc. CS was Rs.2300 charged yearly for the course duration. The fee is made quite affordable and feasible, so that people from lower sections of the society can also afford education.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college promotes a number of scholarships and promotes student to take the benefits if they’re eligible for certain scholarship. The merit Scholarship, Govt. of India Scholarship, Concerned State Government Scholarships and State Departments Scholarship are some of the available scholarships for eligible students. The interested students may reach out to their concerned faculty to know more regarding certain scholarship or contact scholarship in charge faculty for the same.
Campus Life
The college offers and holds a number of sports events for interested students to maintain a healthy environment for providing good sportsmanship with time to nurture. The college always works in improving its every aspect. The library of the college is pretty good, spacious and well-equipped with a variety of book required by the students in their education period.
Admission
The admission in the college is purely based on marks of 10+2, I went to the college and easily got admission in B.Sc. CS in this college. The admission process was quite easy and all I needed to do was fill a lot of forms to enrol in the college’s course. To apply here, the candidate needs to clear his 12th with at least 60% and English as a subject. The students who have just appeared for their High School examinations and are waiting for their results can also apply for admission here.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is quite skilled, well-qualified trainers. The teachers are well versed with the subjects they teach and have experience of years. Some of the teachers are PhD holders, and others have Post Graduation for the faculty for B.Sc. CS. The teachers are also pretty good to us and always help us with their kind words and right guidance. The faculty also is quite popular and known in the city for their knowledge and behaviour.
