The course offers extensive training in the fields of History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Economics and a compulsory language to choose from Bengali, English or Sanskrit along with Philosophy. Subjects give a thorough knowledge about what Philosophy is and the fields related to it which matter when it comes to applying the subject practically, thanks to the extremely supportive teachers.

There is a annual cultural festival called ANANDAN which is celebrated every year where students participate in the form of dance, dramas etc in huge groups. There is also an annual sports meet which is held in the campus where students participate in various games like high jump, long jump,relay etc. It is the most cheerful time in the year in the campus.

The fee structure is quite reasonable and feasible for someone who wishes to pursue a honors degree. The annual fee rounds up to 3500 for a year, excluding the hostel and food. The academic fee that way is quite affordable with a good quality education being provided. Since this is a government affiliated college, there are bound to be affordable fees with a pretty good infrastructure and educational facilities.

There are memorial prizes which are awarded to the students who score or top the examinations in all the three years of their ongoing course by the principal of the college. Also students who top the end semester examinations in the first year are given prizes. The prizes may vary every year. These prizes are very helpful to the students in building up their resume which will help them further in their life.

The hostel facilities are academics-oriented as the people staying in hostel should, on a mandatory basis, have 75 percent attendance, or else the will not be allowed to stay in the hostel. The hostel provides mess and tiffin services on a paid basis. Along with the hostel fees, the hostel management also takes fees for medical services which are available within the campus for the safety of the hostel bearers.

Since ours was an honors degree, the admission criteria was 50 percent aggregate. We had to register online on their portal and fill up the admission form. Then on the further given date we had to go on their official website for the list of students who have been selected for the particular course. One criteria for admission is that the students need to have Psychology as their subject in college too, because they both are related and it matters for the admission in this college.

Since our college is an all girls college, the faculty members are women who are experienced in their fields of interest. Our Head Of Department Smt. Madhuchhanda Gangyopadhyay is very supportive and helpful to the new comers as well as the last year students. Other faculty members are extremely talented and intelligent. They teach us in their best manner possible and are very much supportive to all the students.
