Satisfactory college for B.Com. in Gwalior

College is good and cooperative but there is lack of strictness. Perfect for those students who want to complete their graduation without much attendance, pressure or burden.

Course curriculum and exam structure are monitored by the Jiwaji University, Gwalior. As it is affiliated to Jiwaji University, we are taught the syllabus prescribed by the university. Exams are held in Pariksha Bhawan of Jiwaji University, copies are checked by the university itself and results are declared on the website of Jiwaji University. Exams are relevant and questions are of medium level. Appearing and checking procedures are fair. Course material is not that research or professional based.

They provide average placement and internships, in the local companies. It completely depend on the student whether they want to avail the offer or not. I personally did not get any offer of job after completing my graduation.

There are many events that are annually celebrated in the college. Like, tourism fest on the World Tourism Day in which students dress and perform according to the culture of the place allotted to them. Corporate food fest, in which students prepare food on a particular theme and present it in front of the judges. Along with this, they also set up stalls in which they resell products to the staff, that they made or brought, from their homes or shops.

Got 30% scholarship in first year because of the provision provided by the college of scholarship for students who score more than 80% in the class 12th boards.

Campus life is average, not very exciting. Boys are more compared to girls, but there is unity among them without any discrimination. There is a library which has required books, a well-equipped computer lab with enough computers and an activity area. The campus is not large because the college is situated in a residential as well as a commercial area, in the middle of the city. Annual function is hosted in which students perform a skit, dance, singing, etc. Talent shows, debates, treasure hunt, corporate fair and other activities are conducted annually.

There are not much alumni meetings held and interaction with senior students completely depends on someone's personal network.

Admission for first year starts in the months of June and July. It has direct admission process with no interview or entrance exam. Admission and scholarships are given on the basis of merit, i.e. marks obtained in class 12th board exams. I just went to the college and the staff counselled me about the admission procedure and formalities to be performed.

Faculty is good, well qualified and cooperative. Not every faculty member has excellent knowledge and teaching skills, but they are well behaved, trained and experienced. Teachers do support the students for internal exams and also guide well for external exams.
