BMC Thrikkakara

BMC is affiliated to MG university, Kottayam. So the course curriculum is based on the university curriculum. It is easy compared to other universities in kerala.There are a maximum of 6 subjects to study.

Average. For degree programme the placements are low.I am a BBA graduate from BMC. The only placement for degree students was from TCS, Bangalore.And only a handful of the students got placed.It was a real disappointment for the majority students event hough there were many high performers.

They are really feasible. Govt aided seats are charged less whereas management seats should pay an average sum of 50k per year.Most college in kerala charge high capitation fee from students. The college maintains high transparency.

There are no loan facility provided. Scholarships are provided based on the performance of student in 12th standard.Average performance in 12th will get you into merit seat in the college. Admission into college is through single window application.

The college team had brought home many accolades and trophies. There are hockey, football,badminton team.They train hard everyday to keep up.There are MG university college sports fest where our college competes with other colleges.

Hostels are provided only for PG students. Hostel facility should be provided to degree students too.The hostel facility is limited .It is located above the classes.They should allocate place to construct separate building for hostel for both men and women

There are informal alumni groups. THe alumni have a good bond through all the years. The college welcomes all the old students to fests and celebrations.The alumni work hard in developing college.They support the students and staffs to conduct fests.

Exams are regulated based on MG university guidelines. They are easy compared to other university exams.Exams are conducted at the end of every semester i.e total 6 exams.The exams are solely based on the course curriculum.

Admission to govt aided seats are strictly through merit quota. Mostly the self financing seats in college is reserved through recommendation. The admission is solely without any capitation fee. I got admission into BBA by getting a recommendation letter from the state MLA.

The faculty consists of highly talented and specialised staff. On the teaching side they are good. But they lack the healthy teacher-student friendship. It's more like a gurukul system of education. The teachers are very strict.
