Review of Parala Maharaja Engineering College

Yes! From my point of view it's a very good college and come at a good position in top colleges list of Odisha. However being a newly established college it doesn't have very good infrastructure and resources for competing some popular colleges but the rate at which it is developing day by day very soon it will be counted within some best colleges of Odisha in all manner.

As Parala Maharaja Engineering College is a state government college under the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), it's course curriculum are decided by bput only and exams are also conducted by BPUT. Being a government college of Odisha among few government college, this college strictly follows BPUT protocols.

Yes, Parala Maharaja Engineering College provides a good amount of job opportunities to its graduates but these on-campus placements are not satisfying the expectations of the students. Being a government college it has a good on-campus placement record in comparison to other private and some government college of Odisha also. However I found best part about internships is that, students of this college are getting more and good internships than some popular colleges and at zero cost.

There are a lots of record of different events organised by the college, but being a fresher I'hv not attended any function till now. But there is program of a fuction by end of this month. So that's why I'hv no such experience to share about celebration of events.

Its very obvious that the fee structure is not expensive, As I have already said that Parala Maharaja Engineering College is a state government college of odisha, so fees is very less. Even students are getting different fee waiver schemes so the fees can be treated as a negligible amount. And for general students with no fee waiver schemes like me the fee is still feasible.

Yes we got different scholarship facilities with some criteria and students satisfying the criterias are getting scholarships with a lots of benefits. Even a seminar we attended last month conducted by a agency giving scholarships to some good rank holders of JEE-MAINS exam. Similarly some scholarship are given to students with economically backward, for those higher education is easily affordable.

Like other engineering colleges, Parala Maharaja Engineering College also conducts a lots of activities for both students and faculties involvement. There are some smart labs for M.Tech students and for students of B.Tech courses there are different labs for different branches and subjects. And all type of sports club are there including all outdoor and indoor games and robotics and photography clubs. They are a lots of facility for the development of soft skills in this college. This college is very good at it.

The college is a new college established in the year 2009 and don't have a very good infrastructure. Still it's developing at very high rate. As much infrastructure has developed it's enough. The college has 4 in-campus hostels for students but fir first year students only they have arranged some off-campus hostels. But the work of new hostels for students now came to an end, so we can expect that by next two to three months i.e by end of February 2020 every student will be allotted with a in-campus hostel.

As there is fear among the juniors for their seniors in different institution, but in this college there is very good relationship, bonding has been developing between the seniors and juniors. Seniors are very friendly, helpful in academic or in other cultural or extracurricular activities.

I appeared the JEE-MAINS 2019 entrance exam and got admission through OJEE counselling system with my JEE-MAINS rank. We got three selection round on the basis of our choice locking of college and preferred the second round of counseling process because I got Electronics and Telecommunications department in Parala Maharaja Engineering college and freezed that option and took admission in this college.

The most important factor that affects a students academic section is his life is the faculty of the institution. From my experience till now in Parala Maharaja Engineering college is that I came across all good even excellent faculties who are very much student oriented and always ready to help them. Their teaching is very good and can be easily understood. It's more than enough for good academic result.
