Remarks

Positive -Huge Alumni base -Name, Culture and Prestige of the college -Huge campus -Merit based fair selection -Standard course and labs. Negative -Location, which I feels will improve eventually. -Teachers are not reviewed hence students face issues. -Orthodox and a slow system.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Being an Old reputed college the Course being taught is standard, especially in core branches. The labs are fully functional and well equipped, but the way teachers proceed with the practical is hopeless, they are more concerned with the written stuff and attendance. Exam pattern improved in 2017, now we have 2 exams in a semester , minor and mohar respectively, and 1 practical viva at the end of the semster.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement went down last year and couple of them went for 12 lacs or something rest the average package was . But, this year the placements have improved about 15 companies have visited the college including humming wave, aspiring minds, etc. Recently aspiring minds is here with a package of 16lacs(bonus included). Yes, college has signed MoU with 8 universities abroad and student go for internships there, Alumnos also remain connected with us and help us getting a proper internship.

College Events

4

Techsrijan - The technical fest of our college, is organised in the odd semester, where wired and wireless robotics, bridge designing, junkyard wars, etc are held. Drishyaa - A career counseling session takes place where speaker from different fields are there to guide the freshman. Dhishan - A socio-political event where you are judged on various parameters and then are promoted to the final round which is "The Parliamentary Debate". Abhyuday - The Cultural fest of our college,it is a combination of Drama, Dance, music, Art, photography, etc. It generally is organised in the even semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As compared to state government college the fee structure seems to be inappropriate but comparing to NITs it is at par, I being a hostler pay about 1 lacs, excluding the mess fees which is about 24,000 for a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, college provides scholarships to students performing exceptionally well, where the topper who is not economically strong is given Rs 2,000 a month to bear monthly expenses. Fee waiver and post payment of back paper fees are also some facilities provided by the college.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are fully functional and people working there are experienced. Sports ground and Stadium area was pathetic, but it is under construction presently, so it might improve in the upcoming years. Extra curricular activities - There are 4 councils technical, cultural, social and sports, under which comes various clubs, boards and societies, they keep the students engaged and a student can learn by taking efforts as faculties do not support much.

Hostel Facilities

4

Some hostels are good and some are satisfactory, whereas some even lack basic utilities. We have to convey our problems several times untill its done. Rest we do not face any weird problems, hostel are secure.

Alumni/Alumna

MMMUT indeed has a huge Alumni base, Each year at Alumni meet we interact with people who are at higher posts in various MNCs, senior government officials and entrepreneurs. Yes, they are helpful and they take efforts to lift there juniors to a position atleast where they are.

Admission

I gave the entrance exam of this University and after about a month the results were declared along with the counselling dates, I went for the counseling where the Branch was being allotted according to the preferences filled by the students and vacant seats left for the specific branch. I had secured a General Rank 950 and through general counseling I got civil engineering branch which was my first preference.

Faculty

3

Faculties are trained and qualified, and I assume they have knowledge but the main point is whether they are able to deliver it or not. Thus, I would say some of them are really good, some of them lack presentation and connection with the students and rest do not take pain to teach. It majorly depends upon self study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose BTech because I wanted to explore how real world works with technology and to know the insights of technology. The college mostly provides theoretical knowledge and not the practical knowledge refraining us from more exposure to real world problems. If the course is shifted from theoretical to practical it'll be really helpful. Two exams are conducted per semester, and the difficulty level is moderate.
