Remarks

Yeah, there are some. The positive ones include- - The college is pretty old. - There are a lot of patients -They teach more than that in other colleges of maharashtra. Negative ones include - They do not give clinical postings in the beginning of second year which happens in almost every other college. - They collect extra money for celebrations. - The hostels are really not upto the mark at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Its okay. Its not as hectic as in the other states. We have internal assessment exams and the final university exam. In my 1st year, we had two internal assessment exams and one university exam ( which was common for all).

Placement Experience

3.5

Job opportunities are great as we are studying to become doctors. Doctors are mostly in high demand. So the job opportunities are not thin right now. Yes, my college does provide internship. I have not got that experience till now as I am only in my second year of collge. The stipend is very less in my college. It is only Rs 5800 per month which is a bit low as compared to how much we work.

College Events

1

There are many events celebrated in my college. They are- Ganapati festival which spans for about 4 days. Navrathri festival which spans for 9 days in total which consists of many programmes every day. Days celebration- message day, halloween day, mismatch day, treasure hunt, valentine's day. Freshers day. Annual medical conference- Mediciencia.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its a bit kind of expensive as compared to other government medical colleges in India. It is Rs 90500 per year and increases every year. So it is expensive. In other states, it is mostly less than Rs 50000 in most other states.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

There is a scholarship for people with annual income less than Rs 12000 for reduction of tuition fees by 50 percent. So for them the fees is about Rs 50000. It is called EBC ( Economically Backward Classes) scholarship. And for OBC and other classes like SC, ST, they only pay everything except the tuition fees only Rs 10500. I am a non-EBC candidate. So I don't have these provisions.

Campus Life

1.5

Its good. There are some good opportunities for showing our talents in the programmes organised in association with the Ganapati festival celebrations , navrathri celebrations, days celebration. Students also participate in groups in medical conferences for symposium presentation.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are helpful sometimes. They give important topics to study for the exam that the professors will not give. They also give us advice about how to behave in front of our teachers, how to prepare for the viva, how to be during the viva time.

Admission

I applied in DMER for this and they accepted my application. They published the state merit list aftervsome days and told us to go for document verification. After that they put the revised merit list. After some days they told us to fill the choices for the college of admission. After that they put the alloted colleges and we went there to take admission and finally I got an admission.

Faculty

3

It is a good faculty. But not really good. Its just okay when we compare it to those in other colleges. Also I don't know much about every faculty in the college as I have just entered my second year of college.

Admission:

I had been looking for a good medical college with decent fees structure since we all know Medical Colleges demand really high fees. I dropped a year so that I can fulfil my dreams and get into a good Medical College. Despite my best efforts my NEET score was average but good enough to get me into this college. I wasn’t sure at first, however, after going through the college’s prospectus, I thought it would be just the right place for me considering its nominal fees and Alumni groups.
