Remarks

Everything, I feel about this college is positive whether about its infrastructure, quality education, cultural activity, etc. Except for it's high fees which cannot be ignored. But this fees is worth giving because you are getting all the facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

MBBS is a 5 year course including 1 year of internship. 1st year is only about pre clinical subjects like biochemistry, anatomy and physiology 2nd year is about para clinical subjects like pathology, pharmacology, microbiology and forensic medicine. Apart from these subjects from 2nd year your clinical posting also starts in which you have to go to hospital and under various departments you will be posted like surgery, medicine, dermatology etc.

Placement Experience

4

After completing 5 years of MBBS including internship most of the students prepare for higher studies and various other competitive exams such as NEET pg AIIMS JIPMER. Some do start there own clinic or start practicing medicine in various hospitals but its totally depends on the student that if he or she like to continue studying and getting into specializations or start practicing.

College Events

5

Our college actively conducts various cultural programs. Every festival is celebrated in our college whether its Diwali, Holi, Onam, Christmas even Valentine's day. Apart from these festivals there is a once a year event of 7 days. We call it "culturals" which consists of various competition between batches like eastern dance and singing competition and western dance and singing competition. Can be solo, dual or in group. In these events the whole college participates including staff and the got the chance to flaunt there talent in various fields like dancing, singing, painting, video gaming. Apart from all these there are some fun activities also like treasure hunting, food eating competition etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As my college comes under deemed university the fees is the factor which cannot be ignored. The fees is quite high. They take fees for college and for hostel and mess accommodations. As of now the total fees is around 12- 15 lakhs per annum including hostel charges. But if you compare fees of other private colleges this fees is quite normal in this field. And compares to the education this college provides the fees is definitely worth it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Most of the student take education loan because of the high fees structure. My college is a research oriented college so they do provide some scholarship for the students who want to do research and apart from this they also provide faculty to the students which constantly help them do research and publish there research in various platforms.

Campus Life

4

Our college actively participates in extracurricular activities like inter college sports competitions and there is a separate once a year event for this. In this events various colleges participate in many sport competitions and tournament like basketball, volleyball, tennis, cricket etc. Apart from inter college competitions there are inter batch competitions also and for that we have sports day which includes racing, high jump, long jump, discus throw, etc. Students actively participates in these events and win medals for there college and for there batch.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful as they are the ones who teach us how to talk to patient or take case, or which book to study or which topic to study for exams. They are very generous and helping. When you start going to hospital for postings, seniors are also posted in the same unit which help you and guide you in every problem you face in your hospital hours.

Admission

For getting admission in this college I appeared in NEET exam in 2017. After scoring a decent score next comes the counseling in which I have to fill choices. The colleges are allotted based on my marks, rank a secured and the choices a filled. There were different rounds of counseling and in final round, after all the upgradation in colleges allotted to me last college allotted was KS hegde medical academy. Than I have to go to mangalore for submitting my documents like 10th and 12th mark sheet, neet score card, etc.

Faculty

5

Faculty is very nice, generous, cooperative and helpful. They are the group of renowned doctors and never fail to follow their duties both as a doctor and as a teacher. Every year college divide students into small small groups and each group is given to one teacher. Any problem personal, professional or related to studies can be discussed with that teachers. This is also followed by regular mentor mentees meeting in which student discuss there problems and mentor tries to solve them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
