Remarks

The infrastructure is not that great. In fact, it's just above average. So if you're having a dream about great infrastructure, just drop it. Not all faculties are good. On the bright side, the curriculum lets you choose your own staff.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is changed every 4 years to keep in pace with the technology growth and expectations of the companies that arrive during campus placements. The exams are conducted at two levels - the mid-semester exams and end-semester exams, both for laboratory and theory subjects.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are pretty good in this college. But it is downscaling every year. And yes internships are provided in the pre-final year. For that people have to clear an online interview round and face-to-face interview just like for full-time employment. As far as stipends go, they may be as high as 50k rupees per month.

College Events

4

Cultural events are given a good amount of consideration in this college. There are a variety of organizations where people join and showcase their talents, also grow them. There is an intra college event - SIVARANJANI celebrated in the odd semesters and an inter-college event - MITAFEST celebrated every even semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Highly feasible for most families. Loans and other scholarships are also applicable. There are two categories under which students fall - Regular and Self-support based on their HSE percentage. Regular Students pay around 10k per semester and self-support students pay around 16k per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed of any scholarship personally. But there are different types of loans and scholarships available. A student loan can be applied through college by getting a fees structure from the administration and a hostel fee structure from the hostel office in case the hostel opts. Other than that, there are plenty of scholarships that can be availed and faculties know more than enough of where and how those can be availed.

Campus Life

2.5

There are all kinds of extracurricular activities that are encouraged in the college. Recreational activities such as music, dance, and fighting clubs are available. Sports such as football, cricket, table tennis, etc are given importance too.

Alumni/Alumna

That's one great thing about the college. Every student is given a roll number and only semantic that corresponds to the year changes. So on your same roll number, plenty of seniors have studied and plenty of juniors are about to study. This creates a link between the seniors and juniors. Alumni association helps underprivileged students with their fee and also visit the college occasionally to meet with the students and inspire them.

Admission

It happens through TNEA counseling based on the higher secondary education mark scored. There are numerous other quotas like NRI, foreign, sports, other states, etc. TNEA consists of 100s of colleges affiliated with it. Based on your percentage, you can choose your course and college.

Faculty

3.5

It is a government college. So the staff members are selected on the basis of an entrance examination. Some staff is good. Whereas others are simply not worth studying under. It is a mixture of both. Some faculties are good at their own domain and others are just jack of all trades.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
