Overall facilities are magnificent

I did a 3 years bachelor’s program from Indian Institute of Gem and Jewellery. The institute is a hub for vocational studies and delivering qualified graduates in the gem and jewellery industry. The academics and practical sessions are good. Overall the facilities are magnificent.

The course structure was very decent and playful. I learned so much while having fun at the same time. The course structure was more inclined towards the hands-on experience since it is a vocational program.

Most of the students were placed by the end of our session. Our college even assisted us during the internship process. The package offered is also decent. They provide special training for refurbishing the resume and interview process of the students.

Exhibitions at the end of every semester is held which boosts students morale. Exhibition in jjs and jas are prepared by students. Apart from that many social activities are organised in the institute, quite frequently.

The tuition fee for the entire 2 years program was around 4 lacs. Since the college is one of the top institutes in the industry, they charge a premium fee.

It is very good as compared to other institutions in Jaipur. It has air conditioned classes and proper lighting. And soft boards in every class. All the basic amenities are provided including proper washrooms. I will rate it 4/5.

Dedicated Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. Hostel rooms are pretty spacious and clean. Mess food could have been better, but overall the entire setup is good.

Admission is on the basis of the entrance exam. The entrance test consists of a Design Ability Test (DAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT), followed by an interview.

Faculty is very helpful and ensures timely submission of every module and even principal sir directed some module. The faculty pay dedicated attention and time to each and every student. Good practical knowledge about everything. The manufacturing team is very qualified and the machines are very much updated. Provides knowledge of gems, manual design, manufacturing, etc.
