Remarks

The college is best in comparision to other colleges around the district. If the college can do something towards the campus placements and internships for the graduation students that would be great.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is so good the professors are nice and experienced they are always helpful in academic problems even outside class also. The exam structure for graduation is two semistars per year. Total 6 semistar in 3 years and one internal per semistar. For all the 3 streams science, commerce amd arts.

Placement Experience

0.5

This is the only concern this college needs to work with, there is no placement comes to this college no job opportunity directly through the college for graduation students. As well as this college offer no internship aslo. Except for MBA students only for these students placement commette comes to the college.

College Events

3.5

There are some events celebrated every year like : Independence day Republic day Annual function NCC function Ganesh chaturthi Gandhi Jayanti Annual sports Debate competations Art Competations Anti tobacco day Rangoli competations Singing competations Dance competations etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for all kinds of students. The college also provides stipends for backward classes. Admission, readmission and all semestar fees all are quite affordable for students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college offers scholarship options for bright students. Any student can apply for this options all he/she needs to do is clearing the required score. The college fees is totally feasible no student needs a study loan to get admitted to this college.

Campus Life

4

The college has all the extracurticular activities it has it's chemistry lab, botanical garden, botnay lab, auditorium hall, gym. The college has also NCC, which oraganises activities in various fields inside and outside the campus like rallies and awareness walks, blood donation camps etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel rate is affordable for any kind of student however the hostel infrastructure is not that good but one can get all the basic needs like mineral water, gym, bedding the food quality is quite good.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumies are always been a important role in all the progames of the college. They are helpful for any kind of extracurricular activity of the college. Apart from that they aslo help the students in alround concerns.

Admission

I got into my college by scoring the required cutoff of the college. The cutoff is increasing per year at that time it was 50% for commerce. This year the cutoff was 60 for Commerce (General), 85 for science and 55 for arts (these are may vary according to specializations) i just gave the round structure.

Faculty

4

The faculties are nice they are friendly and well talented. Any student can approach them any time for any academic queries. They are ever ready for helping the students as well as maintaing a peaceful environment inside the campus.

Sambalpur University, Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}
Reviewed on Dec 1, 2025(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of B.Com under Sambalpur University covers important subjects like Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Management and Taxation which are essential for future studies and careers in finance or commerce. The structure is simple to follow and helps students build a good base in theory. Semester exams are conducted on time and the difficulty level is moderate. A student who consistently studies can score well without extreme pressure. However, there is a lack of practical exposure such as industry visits, internships or real-world business case studies. Also, subjects related to modern digital business trends like data analytics, advanced Excel, and GST practicals should be included to make students more job-ready. Overall, the curriculum is relevant but needs more updates to match the current professional requirements

Course Curriculum Overview:

This B.Com curriculum helps every basic individual how to manage money and also provides a path towards finance literacy. The subjects that B.Com has are so designed that the students get most benefit out of it and have experience how the things work in real world. Exams are conducted on timely basis and the exam papers are not too easy but medium and sometimes difficult. There is no default by any staff during exams .
