My Research Journey is still on

I am pursuing my doctorate from the CIBA. It was my first choice because I appreciate and enjoy all the research work and making essential contributions to the agribusiness. Its faculty and amenities provided are good.

The course structure was quite flexible and dynamic. In our institute, we constantly strive towards improving the quality of aquaculture for enhanced quality of marine culture, which was my biggest motivator amidst the hectic schedule of my Ph.D. Last two years were spent mostly on writing the thesis paper.

Our students have very little time to get involved in extracurricular activities. Though many workshops, seminars and training programs are organised at regular intervals in order to keep the students (and even faculty) updated with the advancements in the medical and biotechnological domain.

There is no direct fee for the post graduate program from the IARI.

ICAR offer the grant to the students who had not availed the same scholarship before. The ICAR grant also includes a grant for books, chemicals, equipment, etc.

Campus life in the post research center of CIBA is pretty awesome. You can get all the grassroots facilities right within the Institute campus. Lot of professionalism and experienced peer helps in creating a rich environment of mutual learning.

The entrance is on the basis of the NET JRF exam result. The competition for the entrance exam is quite stiff itself, as candidates from various disciplines and various parts of the country appear for the exam. Weightage is also given to the overall academic performance of the candidate.

The faculty in the CIBA was highly qualified. They all hold doctorates in their respective fields. My mentor was very kind and supportive. They all had a lot of knowledge which they liked sharing with us. Not only that most of them are still actively publishing many research papers, which should be credible enough to tell you their level of involvement with the field.
