My college life

Pros- 1.Low fee structure. 2.Decent faculties. 3.Decent infrastructure. 4.Decent placement opportunities.(In my batch companies like Yash technology,Impetus,Zensar,Mphasis,systango technologies and various indore based companies came for the campuses.) Cons:- 1.Bad Mangement. 2.less extracurricular activities. 3.College timings are bad.

Course curriculum is based on the RGPV structure. 1.first year based on basic subjects like physics chemistry and basic programming languages like c c++(that is in my course). 2.more core subjects come in second year, Third year and final year which includes dastructures,concepts of designing,electronics subjects,Database management Systems,java programming,System engineering,subjects related to networking etc. 3.semester based systems in which mostly five written based subjects and five and around 5 practical subjects per semisters. 4 Exam structure is based like this i.e around 5 written subjects and 5 pratical subjects.

Placement opportunities were nice untill my batch i.e 2019 batch but i got to know that the main placement officer who was incharge switched to another college so i am not sure about placements from now on. *In my batch companies like Yash technology,Impetus,Zensar,Mphasis, systango technologies and various indore based companies came for the campuses. *I think there would not be as good opportunities as it was until my batch.*

List of events organised -: 1.There are multiple talent hunt events organised by third party organisations like redfm,myfm,radiomirchi,they do promotions of sponsored products to fund those events. 2.TRON/Tarunium--organised by third year students and assisted by second year students. It is a Tech cum cultural fest which includes multiple activities like hackthon,various tech workshops,tech competitions,musical events,dancing events as well as DjNight etc. *Overall it is a fun event for the students. *I was in the mangement committee of this event of 2017-18 term. 3.Spandhan-- It is a annual function which is organised annally by the college management which is basically a cultural fest which include activities like Dance Performances,MusicalPerformances,skits,Dramas,Plays etc. *There are other events as well like sports meet, various technology related workshops which is organised by respective departments.*

Fee structure is feasable. * I paid around 75k per year which also includes bus facilities as well. * Note that fee is minused with scholarships applied or a candidate is in a SC, ST, OBC quota. * The given fee i told is of computer Science branch.The fee if other branches are lower than this.It is based on what branch you choose.

I belonged to general category as the name suggests so i cannot avail the scholarship related to quota. *But thre are some scholarships based on your 12 percentage which should be above 80%. *If the percentages are in their fullfilled criteria then a student can avail that scholarship as per my knowledge.

It is kind of negative aspect of the college *There are not much extracurricular activities which happens in college. *There is basket ball court,Football ground,Cricket ground but the sports equipments are not up to the mark.Management doesnot invest in this. *There is a cafeteria where you can take snacks and lunch.There is also a mess in cafeteria for taking lunch.Food quality is decent if compare to other colleges mess. *There are different labs with respect to each engineering department.Generally students attend those labs only in their respective lactures.

No hostel facilities in the college campus. If a student is from outside indore he or she would have to live in separeate hostel in the city or he/she can also take room or flats in rent in the city. *note that college is outside main city. *There are various areas in the city generally where students stays for their studies. *Some areas-LIG,Vijaynagar,Tilaknagar,Bhawarkuan, GeetaBhawan, Saket etc.

There is not much alumini network. *If a senior student or student in final year get placed the chances are he/she will get a job in city outside indore so not much contact. *There is help of senior students if you make good relation with the seniors.

I got admission through a interview and according to my marks in high and higher secondary schooling which should be ablove 60% for getting a decent placement. I contacted through the admission cell of the college for the given purpose.

Decent faculty if you are sincere you can get most out of them *Computer Science department has the best faculties compare to other departments. *Here decent means decent in regard to the level of private colleges in indore.* *note that majorly the college faculties who are their in most of the private colleges are theirself, alumini of same university i.e in my case RGPV university.
