The percentage of students getting placement here in 79% and other some of them go for their own business, some for further studies , some of them get better offers off campus and some documents freelancing. I can't tell much about company visited during placement as I'm in first year only but yes you become eligible for placement from 3rd year 6th sem .
For the admission first they take GAT and CAT which is the general ability test and creative ability test. This design field is very different from other like engineering and medical. And NIFT teaches us very deeply that in four years we have professional mind and way of design with us . The curriculum here is In my pov appropriate because they give a lot of opportunities like workshop industry experts lectures ,internships , send us to work with industry and craftsman and also allow us to go foreign for one year study to know more and in depth our field.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers on-campus placement for its students during the latter part of the last semester, depending upon the course. I graduated during the COVID-19 lockdown period in 2020, thus campus placements couldn't be held. However, our NIFT did provide us with online placement opportunities via email. Fashion Design student often goes for the highest package and as far as I can remember, the highest package was Rs 24,0000 lakh per annum, and the average package was around Rs 600,000 lakhs for the whole college.
The Fashion Communication Course at NIFT Delhi was quite comprehensive in terms of providing students with opportunities for different skill developments. Most of the curriculum was practical, requiring creative skills as well as practical skills. Overall, the FC course offered us the opportunity to develop skills such as photography, graphic design, visual merchandising, writing, etc. Exams were mainly held every six months.
There are campus placements after 8th semester or during. Every student is given chance to appear for the interview. Great placement offers.
I am doing communication design. This course has a vast career options. The department is very helpful towards the curriculum. They encourage us for activities other than academics.
During the summer break in 3rd year, all the students are supposed to do an internship. It is mandatory. And the last semester is kept for the graduation project where one needs to work in a company. I worked for Raymond apparels during my graduation project. Most of the students are offered jobs during their internship and Graduation Project. Nift holds Placements in mainly 3 centers, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Students from all over the country come to these 3 centers and sit for placements. Not many companies visit campus Placements but most of the students easily get jobs outside Placements. Those who do not, they can surely something for themselves because the curriculum prepares them to do so.
I am a knitwear designer, graduated from Nift Mumbai. I'm consider myself really lucky to have been a part of this college. The course is well structured and grooms the students well enough for the industrial demands. During the course, there were multiple industrial visits which is really helpful after the college. The curriculum is more practical than theoretical. There are campus placements but I think let's not take that into account because most of the students do not be a part of it. They usually get pre-placement during their internships of graduation projects.
