Questions Asked On GNLU Gandhinagar, Gandhinagar

Which one is better: GNLU, Gandhinagar or NLIU, Bhopal?

AB
Abhinav Banerjee Posted On : March 15th, 2022
BSc. LLB at Gujarat National Law University

This is a question that almost every law school aspirants ask. There is no clear winner in this comparison. Below are some aspects of both the institutes. Based on these you can make a better choice.

  • Being established recently, GNLU offers better infrastructure. Both campuses are at a respectable distance from the city. You won’t have any problem communicating. At GNLU, you will have the option to do a running internship as it is located close to GIFT city, a proposed Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Both institutes receive substantial funds from their respective state govt.
  • The student crowd at NLUs and GNLU is almost the same. There is only a difference of 2-3 marks in the required cutoff of these NLUs.
  • The administration of GNLU is supportive in a lot of ways. But there aren’t many co-curricular activities. The institute even received heavy criticism regarding this.
  • The teaching quality at GNLU and NLIU Bhopal is almost the same
  • According to the GNLU placements, students receive an average CTC of INR 15 LPA. It offers more tier 1 placement compared to NLIU Bhopal.
  • For NLIU, the median CTC for the BALLB course is INR 14 LPA

So, both GNLU and NLIU Bhopal will offer you similar opportunities. If you choose one over the other, you won’t miss out on much. While choosing one of these, you should also consider the distance of the institute from your home.

Which law school is better, GNLU or NMIMS?

MB
Madumita Banerjee Posted On : July 16th, 2021
B.B.A. LL.B from Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, NMIMS (2019)

The certain winner here would be GNLU.

More batches have passed out from GNLU than NMIMS. GNLU also has better and more experienced faculties. Apart from these, GNLU is a well-established brand in the law education circuit. The campus, infrastructure, library, student quality is better at GNLU. You will get a lot more exposure, facilities, and opportunities at GNLU than at NMIMS.

Currently, there is a lot of room for NMIMS to improve. The classrooms are newly built and only a few batches of students passed out from NMIMS. Even though the student body is apparently doing well, it is yet to be established properly. The number of winners in MUNs, debates, moots, etc., is definitely growing but it still has a lot of work and improvements to do to become considerable. NMIMS is growing but to be as reputed and renowned as GNLU, will still take a lot of time.

How does the admission process work after SNAP results are declared?

SS
Sushant Singh Posted On : August 12th, 2024
MBA student at SCMHRD Pune

After the SNAP 2024 results are declared and you manage to get the desired score, you’ll be shortlisted for the Symbiosis MBA admission process. Based on your SNAP 2024 percentile, you’ll be called for Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI).

Every SIU institute has its own admission process for each of its MBA specialisations. Additionally, each institution’s / program's cutoff is prepared on an independent basis. An applicant may be shortlisted for multiple institutions / programs based on their overall SNAP percentile. In this case, the candidate is expected to take part in the GE-PI for each institute / program separately.

After the GE-PI round is over, a merit list is displayed on the official websites of the respective institutes. A wait list is also released, in case there are any vacant seats.

VK
Vishwa singh Kachhwaha Posted On : March 31st, 2025

After 4th year, students are eligible to sit for placements. Some students also receive a pre-placement offer in the 4th year itself. The students are first prepared for day zero, i.e., placement day, beforehand by conducting a mock interview, which is a voluntary session conducted by the placement committee. CV Vetting workshops are also conducted in the eighth semester because at the end of the 8th semester, the placements are made where tier-1 companies like Khaitan, AZB Partners, CAM, SAM, Trilegal, etc. In-house firms like Adani, ICICI Bank, Tata, and more come for recruiting students. Some students sit for placement; others who want to prepare for government exams like judiciary, UPSC, Public Prosecutor, etc. refrain from sitting in placements.
