I absolutely love my B.Sc Operation Theatre Technology course at AIIMS Delhi! The exposure we get through practical training is unmatched. The faculty is super knowledgeable and really helps us with any difficulties we face. The fees are incredibly low, which is a blessing, and the hostel life is decent with good food. The only thing I wish for is a higher stipend during the internship—it’s currently around ?1,034 per month. But overall, if you’re looking to dive deep into the medical field, this course is a fantastic choice!
I’m currently enrolled in the B.Sc Operation Theatre Technology at AIIMS Delhi, and I can say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. The curriculum is designed to give us hands-on experience in various settings like the ICU and wards. The internship is paid, which is a huge help, and if you perform well, you can land a permanent job with a salary around ?60,000 per month. The fees are ridiculously low, making it accessible to many. Plus, the faculty is very supportive and has a wealth of experience. If you’re aiming for a career in healthcare, this is definitely a program to look into!
NO. I don’t think it’s a good option. Sure, you might get a job in the operation theater, but then what? You can learn the typical processes outside the OT and still get placed there. Honestly, I don’t believe a graduation in this field is necessary. A short 3-month course could provide you with the same basics.
Consider doing something that offers better prospects after graduation. This field has limited scope. Aim for something UGC recognized so you have more options in the future.
Ultimately, the choice is yours!
HOPE THIS HELPS!
I have observed trainees in Anaesthesia technology and those in O.R. technology. Here are some key points:
Doing B.Sc in Operation Theatre Technology from AIIMS Delhi is an incredible opportunity! The course is highly esteemed in India and provides in-depth knowledge of anaesthesia and surgery, which really helps in connecting with patients. The internship is a major plus, offering around ?14,000 per month, and there are great job placements afterward if you pass the exam. Plus, the fees are super low—only ?500 for four years! The campus life is vibrant, with lots of events and a great community. If you're passionate about medical sciences, this course is definitely worth considering!
