I’d say you have a good shot at getting into SIMSREE MMS with your 99.72 percentile. The cutoff for this year was 99.5, so you're above it. However, make sure you prepare well for the CAP rounds, as many students aim for the highest scores. It’s a solid college, and I think you could fit right in if you make it through!

Honestly, with a 99.72 percentile, you stand a decent chance for admission into SIMSREE’s MMS program. The cutoff was 99.5, so you’re just above that. Many students I know got in with similar or slightly higher scores. Just keep in mind that it’s competitive, and you’ll need to ensure your application stands out.

I think you might have a tough time getting into SIMSREE for the MMS with a 99.72 percentile. The cutoff for this year's MBA CET was around 99.5, and while your score is good, it might not be enough since they prefer higher percentiles. My experience with the admissions process showed that students typically needed a minimum of 99.6 to be safe. So, while it's not impossible, you might want to explore other options as well.

Hey Jay,

Have you checked if you have received your State Merit List Number (SML) yet? Your admission will really hinge on that. With more students taking the CET this year, it's tough to predict based just on your percentile.

Looking at past cutoff trends, I think you have a good chance to meet the cutoff. However, once the ranks (SML) are out, here's a general idea to keep in mind:

If your SML is below 200, and considering some candidates ahead might choose other colleges like IIMs, NMIMS, or SIBM through different exams, you should be able to get into SIMSREE, whether it's for MMS or PGDBM. Both programs are viewed equally both at SIMSREE and in the industry.

But if you're set on MMS specifically, aim for an SML under 175, or ideally around 150. Remember, we're talking about the first round of CAP here, so this doesn't cover later rounds' cutoffs.

With a percentile like that, you're on the right track, but your rank is also important. There's a good chance you'll make it into SIMSREE since the number of MMS seats went up to 120 at both JBIMS and SIMSREE a few years ago. If MMS doesn't work out, consider the PGDBM program at SIMSREE. Since it's a government B-school, there's really no difference between the PGDBM and MMS programs there.
