If you're stuck choosing between these two colleges, I'd recommend picking DTU for CSE through JAC Delhi over MNIT for CSE. DTU is just as reputable as MNIT Jaipur, although it doesn't hold the NIT title. It boasts excellent infrastructure, great libraries, a student activity center, sports facilities, and more.
Plus, being located in Delhi is a big plus, as it attracts top tech companies offering impressive salary packages. DTU's placement records are often likened to those of the second-generation IITs. The exposure and campus culture here are exceptional, so you likely won't regret choosing DTU CSE over MNIT Jaipur CSE.
I'm currently a student at MNIT, but I live in the NCR region, so I'm pretty familiar with both MNIT and DTU. If you're talking about the CSE branch, I would recommend DTU. More companies tend to visit DTU for campus placements. I can't recall the highest package at DTU, but MNIT had packages of 30-35 lpa in 2016 and 29 lpa in 2017. DTU usually has a higher average package. Plus, being in Delhi, even though it's on the outskirts, attracts plenty of top companies.
As for MNIT, it offers good faculty, great resources, and a decent number of companies for CS placements. The average package for CS was about 11 lpa in 2016. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Best of luck with your decision!
I can't speak much about DTU, but here's what I think about MNIT. The courses are pretty solid, but the faculty isn't great, aside from a few who have already left. Plus, there isn't much interest in cutting-edge topics like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Deep Learning. If you're keen on these areas, that might be something to consider.
When it comes to coding, MNIT doesn't have much of a coding culture. You'd mostly be learning on your own since there are no intra-college coding competitions or programming clubs. Also, there isn't much participation in national or international coding contests, possibly due to limited interactions between seniors and juniors.
Despite all this, you can still become a proficient computer engineer. Both MNIT and DTU offer good job opportunities. If you're curious about the coding environment at DTU, you might want to look into it more.
