I graduated from MNIT Jaipur, so I think I can share some insights.
If you're thinking about joining for CSE or ECE, you might want to reconsider because the coding culture is practically non-existent. However, for other branches, it's a solid choice.
Pros:
Cons:
Positives about MNIT Jaipur have been covered well by others, so I'll focus on the downsides here. I studied CSE in the general category at MNIT, and my experience with placements wasn't great, motivating me to share this review.
If you're the type who follows teachers without question, this might not apply to you. But if you're really into a specific technical area, keep reading.
In the first year, we had subjects like Engineering Design, Mechanical and Electrical Fundamentals, Electronics Communications, Logic Design, Physics, and Chemistry. As a student who was excited about coding, I found these subjects unrelated to my interest in computer science.
It wasn't until the 6th semester that we started learning about topics like JAVA, Web Development, App Development, or Machine Learning, which are essential skills in CSE. As a result, my CGPA was below 7 before the 7th semester, and I didn't get placed through campus recruitment.
My mistake was focusing solely on coding and not enjoying subjects like CAED. But now, I'm working at a multinational company, so it's all good in the end.
Here's what I think could be improved:
I'll share more details about the drawbacks later because some issues are often overlooked. If you're passionate about coding, you might find NIT Kurukshetra a better fit since they cover DS, ALGO, OS, DBMS, and Web Development by the second year.
Honestly, the academic system at MNIT needs improvement!
Thanks for reading.
