Which is better SASTRA or CIT Coimbatore Institute of Technology?

I would say CIT Coimbatore Institute of Technology has an edge over SASTRA, mainly because of its strong placement cell for the Bachelor of Science [B.Sc.] + Master of Science [M.Sc.] (Data Science). The curriculum is robust and designed to meet industry demands, which is crucial for us. Moreover, the college organizes internships during the 7th semester that truly prepare us for the job market.

The atmosphere is also lively with various clubs that enrich campus life, although the food in the hostel could use some improvement.

CIT seems to have the edge over SASTRA as it not only focuses on academics but also on shaping students' personalities. With around 23 clubs, CIT offers a lot of opportunities for students to grow beyond the classroom. Ragging isn't tolerated here, and seniors actually show respect to juniors. The clubs aim to enhance students' leadership skills too. Plus, there are two industrial visits each year and the placements are strong.

Most students will always claim their own college is the best, so it's something you'll need to figure out on your own. Sastra University has a mix of CBSE and Andhra students who tend to do really well in their entrance exams. In contrast, CIT mostly has students from the Tamil Nadu state board. Sastra is introducing new things like MOOCs and cutting down credits, plus it has a ton of clubs, which makes me lean towards Sastra. The professors at Sastra often have experience from IITs, which could be quite beneficial compared to CIT professors, though I'm not too sure about them. Sastra also promotes a good culture along with education, which can be really helpful in life. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide.

SASTRA and CIT Coimbatore Institute of Technology both have their merits, but I lean towards CIT for its unique offerings in my course, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc.] + Master of Science [M.Sc.] (Data Science). The curriculum is quite relevant and constantly updated, focusing on real-world applications and hands-on learning.

The internship opportunities are also structured well, allowing us to gain practical experience before placements. Plus, the placement cell is very active, and I've seen many of my friends secure decent packages through campus placements.

Honestly, I think both SASTRA and CIT have their pros and cons, but for my course, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc.] + Master of Science [M.Sc.] (Data Science), CIT seems better. The course curriculum is quite engaging and includes practical elements like internships. The placement opportunities here are impressive, with many companies visiting for recruitment. However, I must admit that the hostel food isn't great, but that's something we manage. Overall, I feel that CIT prepares us well for our future careers.
