Is Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College the best private college under AKTU?

I'm not the biggest fan of my college, but let me give you a rundown of what’s good and not-so-great about it. If you’re considering a non-circuit branch like CSE or IT, any AKTU-affiliated college is pretty similar. Opportunities and salary packages for these branches are almost the same everywhere. Now, about my college:

Good Things:

• Center of Relevance and Excellence (CORE): This is probably the college's highlight. Tifac-CORE functions as a separate department offering industrial training to students. It’s part of the Skills India Foundation (NSDC) which owns 49% of it. Companies like Fronius, Siemens, NI, and Bosch Rexroth offer training, which is quite valuable if you take it seriously.
• Software Incubator, Computer Society of India, and Microsoft IT Academy: Ideal for computer enthusiasts who want more than classroom learning. There’s also a Big Data Center of Excellence, known to be great for CS students.
• Team Robocon: AKGEC's robotics club is among the top in the country. Check out Robocon competition results if you’re curious.
• Supportive Faculty: Faculty support is key for those wanting to prepare for post-grad exams like GATE or CAT. Not all, but most faculty members are quite helpful.
• Competitive Environment: Many students from AKGEC make it to merit lists and crack exams like GATE and CAT on their own. So, with the right friends, you can thrive here.

Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College is definitely one of the top engineering schools under AKTU, but it's not considered the very best. JSS Noida holds the top spot among AKTU's private engineering colleges. The main reason JSS is favored over Ajay Kumar Garg is its location. JSS Noida is in an industrial hub, which offers more opportunities and exposure compared to Ajay Kumar Garg, which is located further out.

Haha, good one! Don't believe everything you hear. AKG is mainly focused on students getting high scores in university exams, that's about it.
