How is the course curriculum of Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Statistics) in St Xavier's Mumbai?

I choose this course BSc as i have to pursue a career in UPSC and need a Bsc career for it for every 60 students there is one faculty who guides and inspires students. Qualification of Faculties are Master in their respective field and few are PhD. term exams were held twice a year and are decently tough to score very good marks

The course curriculum is not very rigorous. The curriculum is neither an application-oriented one. The curriculum is a simple research/academics oriented curriculum. However, the college will arrange for courses, workshops and guest lectures for you to enhance your application skills of the subject. FACULTY The student-faculty ratio varies from year to year and subject to subject. It may range from 1:60 to 1:30 for statistics. The student-professor bonding is very good over here. The faculties are very supportive, friendly and liberal. You can contact the faculty whenever you want to. Qualification: All of them have at least a masters degree. Some hold MPhil and PhD qualification. EXAMS there are 2 in-term exams and one final exam every semester. The questions asked in the exams are from whatever is taught in the classroom. It is not difficult to pass statistics exams. Hardly 1-2 students have KT in statistics. Few students get KT in Maths papers which they easily clear afterwards

It's an autonomous college so they don't follow a particular pattern syllabus may change ever year. The stats facility is best in Xavier's and it has the second largest fest called malahar after mood indingo.

The curriculum, academics and facilities are amazing. Being an autonomous college, we have mandatory credit points which we need to earn in the course of three years. These points can be earned by attending seminars, participating in various activities.

We have semester exams with 4 papers each semester having 100 marks each,80 in end semester and 20 in mid semester.Semester exams are very student friendly and relevant now a days.Not Industrial visits but Social visits are organized by the students,but the students are groomed equally for industrial and academic career with immense care and in an advanced way
