How are the hostels at NIFT Chennai?

The hostel facility are good there are two persons in one room ac room and non AC rooms also available each room has 2 beds 2 fan study table for each and plug points chairs and backside there is an balkani . The food quality was nice and there is more variety of menu available registration for the hostel is simple on the day of physical verification we have to submit the annexure forms and payment details to book the rooms

The meals at the hostel aren't great and are sometimes the sole reason why people move out. The registration process is fine but there is not a lot of accommodation since the number of seats are increasing everywhere but accomodation isn't. I have rented an apartment nearby to the college and also the hostel is far from the college(3Km) and so transport and traffic every morning is a problem.

Nift Chennai has a separate hostel for men and women students. Men hostel building stands in the NIFT campus itself. While women hostel is 2km away from the campus. But they have transport facility to college both morning and evening.

Hostels rooms are big with double sharing and AC in rooms, Cot and Tables are provided. Mess food serves both south indian and north indian with a lot of variety. The girls hostel is situated away from the college (walking distance) while the boys hostel is situated inside the campus. The washrooms are clean and the cleaning staff even comes and cleans at night 12am.

I was a day scholar. Honestly the food and hostel facilities at NIFT Chennai is below average like how most messes at colleges in India are. The in campus hostel is for boys and within 2km radius the girls hostel is located. the hostel rooms are 2- 3 sharing occupancy ant there are no single room occupancies available. Since the in campus hostel facility rooms are only few they get filled up easily. There are a lot of residential apartment and PG's nearby where most senior students prefer taking.
